Can we do better?
• We throw out an average of 25 full black bags of rubbish EVERY DAY in our school. Most of this could be reused or recycled….. Can we reduce this ? YES
YES
![Page 19: A really rubbish lesson St Mary’s High School Eco Committee Present](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062421/56649c985503460f949548e7/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)

• Close our windows to retain heat• Keep the curtains open so the sun will warm the
room• Nominate someone to be responsible for
monitoring energy use in each department or have a rota system
• Use email where possible – cut down on paper use
• If the classroom is too warm, turn off the radiator!
• Set computers to go into sleep mode• Most importantly – its everyone job! We need to
work together as a school community – LET’S DO IT TOGETHER!
