    A search of the Polks Directory of Honolulu for

    In a separate listing, Ann S. Obama, Obamasmother, is identified as a student living at the 6085Kalanianaole Highway address; Barack H. Obama,her husband, is listed as a student living at aseparate address, own apartment at 625 11

    Avenue, closer to the University of Hawaii atManoa, not at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway, with his

    wife and in-laws, and supposedly his son.

    Investigators concludedin that:

    - Neither newspaper had an editor thathandled birth announcements;

    - Both newspapers merely printed birthannouncements, directly as received, from

    information published in Department ofHawaii vital statistics announcements;

    - Hawaiian hospitals did not report tonewspapers any birth announcementinformation;

    - Neither newspaper independently checkedthe truthfulness or accuracy of birthannouncement information published bythe newspapers from Hawaii Department ofHealth vital statistics records.

    Toward the end of the interview with the HonoluluStar Advertiser, the newspaper asked Abercrombiethe following: "Q: You stirred up quite a controversywith your comments regarding birthers and yourplan to release more information regarding

    President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How isthat coming?"

    In responding, Abercrombie acknowledged that thebirth certificate issue will have "politicalimplications" for the presidential election in 2012"that we simply cannot have."

    In suggesting he was still intent on producing morebirth records on Obama from the HawaiiDepartment of Health vital records vault,Abercrombie told the newspaper there was arecording of the Obama birth in the State Archivesthat Abercrombie wants to make public.

    Interestingly, Abercrombie did not report to thenewspaper that he or the Hawaii Department ofHealth had found Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate.

    Instead, all Abercrombie suggested hisinvestigations had found to date was anunspecified listing or notation ofObama's birth that someone had made in the StateArchives.

    "It was actually written I am told, this is what our

    investigation is showing, it actually exists in thearchives, written down ..." Abercrombie said.

    For seemingly the first time, Abercrombie was veryfrank in his public comments to acknowledge thatpresidential politics motivated his search forObama birth records, implying that failure toresolve the questions that persist unanswered bythe president about his birth records and nativitystory may damage Obama's chance for re-election.

    "If there is a political agenda [regarding Obama'sbirth certificate], then there is nothing I can do

    about that, nor can the president," Abercrombiesaid.
