CONCLUSIONSThe projects describe • how the First Division regions can develop in cooperation with
other areas in defined development zones• how region-specific development of population and economy is
connected with the development of traffic, transport, connections, and services
• new strategic ways to operate as opposed to the region’s normal processes
The projects also deal with • the requirements which a Defris region should be able to meet in
order to keep up with development • the competitive situation between regions • the ways to activate and develop business
