A lot of initiative on TQM is visibly seen in the Industries. We are taking TQM initiative in education sector too. Basically Quality circle makes the students and staff to solve the problems related to their work by using simple quality tools. This year we expect 35 case study presentations from Engineering Colleges, Polytechnics & Higher Secondary Schools. TVS School, Madurai, Sakthi Engineering College Avadi, Vellamal Engg. College, SRM Eng. College Vadapani. Atomic Energy Central School Kalpakkam, Kalaimagal Vidyalaya, Campus , Sivakasi Nadar Matriculation School, Vani Vidyalaya Chennai , Gvt. Higher Sec.School Vengambakkam were the participants of earlier convention. We sincerely hope that you and your staff with students will participate in this convention. The Head of the Institution is most welcome to the convention as an invitee. An educational institution can send maximum of (FIVE QC) 5-Quality Circles with five members in each team to participate free of charge for case study presentation and two delegates either staff or student. This team can participate in poster, slogan & Essay Competitions. PATICIPATING QC TEAMS ONLY WILL GET CERTIFICATES /A copy of the Brochure CCQCE – 2016 is enclosed. F Quality Circle Forum of India was founded in April 1982 with an aim of popularizing Quality Circle movement among industries,

Educational Institutions and other service organizations.

F QCFI is a National Level Organization for promotion, propagationand advancement of the theory and practice of Quality Circles. Itacts as central clearing house of Quality Circle information. It servesas a common forum and platform for all those interested andengaged in operation of Quality Circles and provides opportunitiesto discuss related matters with a view to sharing of knowledge andexperience through seminars, workshops, conferences,publications, audio-visuals etc. It provides assistance to interestedorganisations and individuals to promote launch and operateQuality Circles. Quality Circle Forum of India Chennai Chapter isfunctioning at its own premises at

F The QC movement which is being practiced by several industries brings out the innate and creative talents of the QC members and enhances their self esteem and self pride. It is felt that there is an urgent need to spread this concept in Educational Institutions for inculcating Quality consciousness in the minds of our future citizens. Remarkable improvements in Educational Environment have been noticed where such Quality Circles are in operation. It is our endeavor to spread the message to a wide circle of Educational establishments for enhancing the Quality of Education.

The 18th Convention of Quality Circles in Education 2016

is being organized on

Case studies will be presented by Quality Circle teams from

Schools, Polytechnics, Arts and Science Colleges, Engineer ing

and Medical Colleges, Teacher Training Colleges and Universities.

Slogan and Poster competitions relating to Quality Circle Concepts

and Activities in English and Tamil will be conducted on the day of

convention. Topic will be announced one hour before the scheduled

time of competition.

Essay Competition will be conducted on the day of convention and

students have to write an essay within 100 words in Tamil / English.

No registration fee for the Team members of Case Study

Competition and other events up to 5 QC teams from an

Institution.
