I’m sure we’re all looking forward to a wonderfulfestiveseasonwithfamily,friendsandlovedones.Evenastheyearcomestoaclosetherehasbeensignificantcommitmenttotheupgradeofthe infrastructureandservicesthroughouttheclub.
The ongoing fitness centre expansion & renovation TheHealth and Fitness fraternity of Nairobi club, theGymkhana Committee and the Fitness Center sub-committee are excited towitness the ongoingworksattheFitnesscenterthataregearedtooffermembersimproved facilities and better services. The ongoingworks that commenced in July 2012 and scheduledtoendby theendofNovember 2012will achieve thefollowing:
• ExpandedGymfloor space and the acquisition ofmoreequipmenttomeetthevarioustrainingneedsoftheclubmembers
• Fullyrenovatedmen’ssaunafacility

Installation of Nairobi Club WIFI
Weare glad to announce that membersnow have access to free wifi. Thoseintendingtousetheservicewillneedtopresent their membership cards to the
receptionist for a one time registration. Please notethat the access credentials given arenot transferableandthereforecannotbeshared.Theservershallallowonlyoneconnectionperuseraccount.
Inabidtoimprovethequalityofservicewesuccessfullyheld a performancemanagement training session forseniormanagement.Wehaveplannedformoresessionsforotherstafflevelsaswell.Wehavereceivedpositivefeedbackonthereintroductionofthelivebandsessionevery Sunday by the pool side. The member servicecommittee is keen to increase club patronage and isorganizingforvariouseventsinthecomingyearwhichinclude the Brussels trip previously planned for AprilearlierthisyearthathasnowbeenmovedtoApril2013.Wewillsharedetailssoonandencourageyoutoprepareearly.Evenaswetakesmallmeasurestoimproveyourexperienceattheclubwewelcomeyourfeedbackandsuggestions.Dropusanemailatinfo@nairobiclub.com All informationwillbe taken intoconsiderationaswearealsocurrentlyamendingtheclubbyelaws.

We also hosted a party in the samemonth to congratulate the teamwhichparticipated intheAfricanStatesTournament2012whichwasheld inDurbanSouthAfricafrom28thJulyto5thaugust2012.TheperformanceoftheKenyanteamwasveryimpressiveastheybroughthomeaSilverandaBronzemedal.Theparty’sGuestofHonor,theCommissionerofSports -Mr.GideonOluochcongratulatedtheteamforthegoodperformance.AndwehavePaulWamaethe Chairman of Kenya Bowling Association for the organization of such asuccessfulevent.
Tennis TeamThe tennis sectionhas remainedveryactive throughout theyearandwearegratefultomemberswhohavecontinuedtopatronizethesection.OurWednesdayclubtennisnightandthemonthlyfuntennisdayspoonshavecontinuedtoattract bothseniorand juniorplayers.WeencouragememberstoalsocomeonFriday,wherecompetitivesinglesandmixeddoublesmatchesareplayed.Thisisusuallyfollowedbyarelaxedbondingandsocializingsessionover drinks and sumptuous bitings. Thanks to our sponsors and meticulousorganizers, we have also incorporated a goat eating session (Nyama-chomabarbeque)afteranafternoonofserioustenniswhichhasgonea longway inincreasingparticipation.ThelastspoonwassponsoredbyJonhstoneWaweru,oneofourveryactivemembers.Thenext spoon is scheduled forNovember25thandwillbesponsoredbyDavidDass.WewillbeexpectingguestsfromasfarasUganda;Allmembersarewelcome.
