Dear Families,
As 2017 comes to an end I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas and holiday season. It has been an incredibly busy and productive year and I thank you all once again for your support enabling your children to have a happy and successful experience at our school.
I would like to acknowledge the amazing job our staff do supporting students to feel happy, safe and successful at school. The dedication and commitment everyone makes to best support our students is greatly appreciated. I thank all of our parent volunteers who contributed so much to our school community.
We will be saying goodbye and thank you to a number of staff this year. I hope you can join us for our last assembly tomorrow morning at 9.10am when we will acknowledge their contribution to our school community.
Teaching staff completing their time with us are Kiah Robertson-Burne, Christin Valley and Emma Girdam. We wish them all the best for the future.
Tricia Spurling is also leaving us as she takes a position in the mid north. Tricia has been a teacher at Angle Vale for many years and recently took on the role of Acting Assistant Principal. We thank Tricia for all of her hard work and commitment to the Angle Vale students and school.
Student Support Staff finishing tenures are Linda Adams, Julie Giles, Jacky Harker, Shanna Sebris, Julie Rawlinson, Janet Fullick and Jyle Francis. We may see them back next year as we establish our student support programs.
Our Year 7 students had their Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday evening and have been on their final excursion today. As these students celebrate the completion of their primary education, I would like to wish them all the best for next year as they begin high school.
Please remember during the holiday period to phone 131 444 for police attendance if you see anyone on school grounds damaging school property or behaving in unsafe ways.
All staff will be back on duty on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th of January 2018. The front office will be open for uniform purchases on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd January 2018 from 9:00am to 3:30pm each day. Children return to school on Monday the 29th January.
Have a safe and happy holiday!
Lynette Simons

Please make sure you congratulate:

Their students, peers, friends and families think they’re doing a brilliant job and that they deserved to be recognised for the work that they do so please make sure they get a pat on the back.
On behalf of Nova 919 & Bendigo Bank, thanks for being a part of Teacher of the Year.
Lions Club Peace Poster WinnersAngle Vale Primary School was very proud to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Lions Club for participating in the annual Peace Poster Contest.
