Glazed Protection Systems must fulfil the stringent criteria defined by international test and certification standards, as complete systems, in terms of both general performances and, specifically, those deriving from the fact that they are safety products. Safety in terms of behaviour in extreme situations (accidentalimpacts, fire, etc.) and resistance to intentionalaggressions.

European (EN) and American (NFPA) stipulatescompliance with different requirements for glazed safety systems.

Glazed safety enclosures are systems composed of a number of elements (mainly metal frames and specific glass), which require unique, uniform behaviour. This means that all the solutions must be tested andcertified as complete systems, prior to their commercialisation in the market.

As we are talking about the safety of people,this requirement is non-negotiable for Tecfire.

Glazed Fire Protection encompassesall of the systems composed ofperimeter profiles and fire-rated safetyglass, with the aim of preventingand/or delaying the appearance andpropagation of fire to facilitating itsextinction. Because they are passivesystems, they favour the maintenanceof structural stability and permitcorrect compartmentalisation, therebymaking a vital contribution to theevacuation process.

It should be noted that, as they areintegrated systems from the designand construction process of the

TECGUARD-RC is a range of safetysolutions for doors, windows, fixedpartitions and curtain walls whichfulfils the requirements of protectionfrom vandalism / manual attack.

These systems are tested by static/ dynamic load tests and manualattacks, which, depending on theattacking time and the aggressionsto which are subjected, will archievedifferent classifications, from RC1to RC6.

These systems are tested bysubmitting the samples to a pressuredetermined by the standard for atime of 20m/s, obtaining differentclassifications, from EXR1 to EXR5,depending on the pressure used inthe test.
