A History of the Lyceum Series
The mission of the North Carolina Central University Lyceum Series is to promote and enhance the intellectual, cultural, and aesthetic aspects of student growth and development through a series of outstanding lectures, recitations, concerts, dramas, and exhibitions. Thus, the Lyceum Series contributes to the establishment of a wholesome and well-rounded environment for the University and the local and state communities. The Lyceum events are funded, mainly, by student Lyceum fees, but are supported, also, by arts organizations, sororities, and businesses.
