A how-to guide for Genius Scan  

1. Go to the app store and download the app “Genius Scan”.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Click the “+” button in the bottom left corner to add a photo to the PDF file.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Here you can take a picture of your work.  

❏ If you would like to take multiple pictures to include in one PDF file, this app will allow 

you to take as many pictures as needed. Then click “Done” and proceed to steps 5-7.  

❏ If you would like to create separate PDF files for each page, take the first picture and 

click “Done”. Then proceed to steps 5-6 to crop and edit the file.  

 

** If you take a picture that did not turn out right you can click “Cancel” and delete the last 

photo. ** 

 

 

 

 

5. The app will now bring you to the screen 

below where you can edit and rename the file. 

To edit the pdf, click the wand in the bottom 

right corner. This will bring you to a screen 

where you can rotate, crop, and change the 

filter of the PDF. 

   

6. To rename the pdf, click the underlined name at the top of the screen.  

❏ If you are creating a singular PDF file for multiple pages proceed to step 7 after 

renaming the file.  

❏ If you are creating different PDF files for multiple pages click the back arrow at the 

top of the screen to access the home screen after renaming the file where you can create

7. Exporting a singular PDF file 

for multiple 

pages: When you 

are finished 

cropping and 

renaming the file 

click the export 

button on the 

bottom right. 

There are various 

ways to export 

this file including 

email, Google 

Drive, and 

AirDrop. 

       

 

8. Exporting different PDF files 

for multiple pages: Once you click 

the back arrow after editing and 

cropping the last page the app will 

bring you to the home screen. To 

select the files click the three 

lines in the top right corner of
