Welcome Hello boys and girls and welcome to Priory Integrated College. My name is Ms Argument and I am the Principal here in Priory Integrated College. I am delighted that you are joining our school this year and we are all really looking forward to getting to know you better over the coming weeks. I’m sure you’re feeling lots of different things about coming to Priory. Perhaps you are really excited about all of the new experiences and challenges that are ahead of you now that you are in ‘big school.’ You might also be feeling a little bit nervous about this new chapter in your school life. Perhaps you are a bit sad that you have left good friends behind in primary school and you’re worried about making new ones here? Well, let me reassure you that Priory is a very friendly school and the staff here will do everything that we can to help you settle in, be happy and successful with us. This is a brand new start for every one of you, a chance to be the best that you can be. We aim high here in Priory and we have high expectations of all of you. We believe that every one of you can learn and that every one of you wants to learn. The next five years will provide you with lots of exciting opportunities, new experiences and challenges. We are here to help and guide you along the way. This is an integrated school where we learn to respect each other and learn from each other. You will hear a lot more about this from your teachers over the coming months. We want you to be proud of the fact that you are part of our integrated school and to understand what integration is all about. This booklet contains a lot of information that will help you to prepare for your start here in September. When you join us your Form Tutor and Head of Year will help you read through it and explain things to you in more detail. Finally, I hope you really enjoy being a Priory pupil and that you make the most of all of the opportunities your time here in Priory will bring.
