A fun new twist on the summer camp experience

Middle School Summer Adventure

uEPIC Adventure: Camp DirectorsEli Thomas and Izzy Holden, co-owners and founders of the art collective and creative marketing company Bagavagabonds, come from rich art backgrounds, but have also coached, taught and mentored on numerous occasions in artistic, educational and athletic arenas. As Bagavagabonds, Eli and Izzy strongly believe in the mission to “Produce with a Purpose.” Over the past six years, the Bagavagabonds have orchestrated over 20 events throughout Los Angeles in support of a variety of charitable organizations, including: For The Arts, Room 13 LA, Tashirat Orphanage (in Mexico), Make Something!!, The Pablove Foundation and many more. Accompanying these events, BV has collaborated and created a plethora of artistic activations, installations and photographic content for like-minded companies, such as: Sony, K-Swiss, Smart, Scion, The Brooklyn Circus and Knockaround.

Eli and Izzy are thrilled at the opportunity to oer a fresh take on the summer camp experience and look forward to teaching progressive project-based classes inspired by the arts and creativity. From “Concept to Finality,” they strive to develop and execute classes that are detail and skill oriented, allowing participants to gain a greater grasp of understanding each learned discipline, creating condence and prowess along the way. Eli and Izzy have a variety of artistic, sporting and daily-life skills that will open kids’ eyes to alternative ways of expression, learning and creative out-letting!

Eli Thomas is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University's department of Theater Arts, where he also earned a minor in Music Performance, with an emphasis in Opera. Eli grew up in the theater, playing his rst role at the age of six as an orphan in a community theater production of "Oliver" in his hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. From then on, he took to a life of performance on stage, in music, and on television, both at the regional and national levels.

Eli has always found the balance in his abilities and the need to give back to his community . At 21, he began coaching tennis to kids of all ages while getting his degree, and has continued to instruct and mentor kids of all ages and levels, both in the sports and arts arenas. He was the head tennis pro at LA’s Mar Vista Recreation Center for three years, a counselor at multiple summer camps both in the LA and KY area, has coached and refereed various basketball, soccer and tennis teams, and has volunteered at schools across LA, acting as a source of creative inspiration for budding artists.

Izzy Holden has an endless resume of working with kids in all aspects of instruction. For three years, Izzy was the Recreation Coordinator at the Mar Vista Recreation Center, where he directed the summer Day and Sports Camps, supervised all after-school programs and commissioned the youth sports leagues. His liberal arts education from Transylvania University (Lexington, KY), where he earned a B.A. in Studio Art and played varsity Baseball, has come in handy throughout the multitude of teaching and coaching experiences he has been involved in from the elementary to the high school levels. His passion has taken him to Mexico to volunteer at the Tashirat Orphanage, to mentoring rst generation college applicants in Downtown LA, to teaching art throughout the lower income communities of Los Angeles, ensuring that kids have the same opportunities to express, learn and create that he did growing up in north-eastern Ohio. With the combination of his visual arts degree and his varying skills as an artist, craftsman and athlete, the options are endless for him to give back to today’s youth.
