Summer Camp (Passport to Fun) 13 th May 22 nd May ’19 A Summer Camp was organized from 13 May’19 to 22 May’19 for classes 1 to 5 which was aimed at teaching various new skills to students in order to promote a learning environment and to equip them with real world skills apart from the set academic learning. Altogether 134 students participated in the same. All the activities of camp for primary section was coordinated by primary wing teachers. Following were the activities and workshops that were carried out for all the classes- Class 1 & 2 13 May 19- A total of 60 students participated in an origami workshop where they were taught the techniques of making flower, bookmark, fish by folding papers.

A Summer Camp was organized from 13 May’19 to 22 May’19 for classes

1 to 5 which was aimed at teaching various new skills to students in order

to promote a learning environment and to equip them with real world skills

apart from the set academic learning. Altogether 134 students participated

in the same. All the activities of camp for primary section was coordinated

by primary wing teachers.

Following were the activities and workshops that were carried out for all the

classes-

Class 1 & 2

13 May 19- A total of 60 students participated in an origami workshop

where they were taught the techniques of making flower, bookmark, fish by

folding papers.

14 May 19- For students of classes I & II colouring crayons workshop was

organized by Mr. D.K. Sahu where children were taught to colour fish,

butterfly and a house. Total strength of children for the same was 59.

15 May 19- Children learnt to tap their feet to the tune of the famous song

‘Jungle Jungle Baat Chali Hai Pata Chala Hai’. This dance class was

coordinated by Ms. Daya and Ms. Vandana along with the class teachers.

16 May 19- A music class was organized by Mrs. Seema Gupta and Mrs

Vandana where all the children lend their melodious and sweet voice to

sing songs like Lakdi ki kaathi and Chidiya Chidiya. Total strength of

children for the same was 59.

17 May 19- The tiny tots were taught how to water the plants and had a

sharing picnic party where they enjoyed sandwiches, juices and wafers.

The total strength of children was 55.

20 May 19- Various sports activity were conducted for the children by

sports teacher during which they played games like-

i. Run and Fill the Water Bottles

ii. Hurdles

iii. Making groups

iv. Run & Statue.

Children had lots of fun playing these games.

21 May 19- 48 children of classes I & II had fun with solving picture puzzles

made on animals and Nature and enjoyed learning Calligraphy.

22 May 19- A workshop on Clay Modelling was conducted for all the

children where they were taught to make vegetables, teddy turtle and

various toys using clay.

Class-3

13 May 19- All the children were taught to make flying birds and birds

wall hanging using paper crafting under the guidance of Mr. D.K. Sahu. A

total of 42 students participated in the same.

14 May 19- A workshop on Soft toy making was conducted for all the

children where a colourful teddy bear was designed by using soft cotton

balls under the guidance of class III teachers. 42 children attended the

same.

15 May 19- Children were taught to sing Alankars under the guidance of

Ms. Seema Gupta along with the class teachers and Ms. Purnima. 41

students participated in the same.

17 May 19- A workshop on Colouring and Calligraphy was conducted

where children were taught how to colour and sketch a cloth and sunflower

under the guidance of Mr. D.K. Sahu. 34 students participated in the same.

20 May 19- 32 students of class III taught to make Ganesha and toy during

clay modeling activity under the guidance of Mr. Sahu along with the class

teachers.

21 May 19- 31 children of class III were taught to dance on the song ‘

Lakdi ki Kathi’ by Mrs. Daya and class teachers.

22 May 19- Various sports activities like Skipping, Frisbee making a chair

lion and goat games were organized by the sports teachers.

Class 4 & 5

13 May 19- All the students of classes IV & V attended the Dance class

where they were taught various steps on Hindi numbers like ‘Tara Rum

Pum and Hum Hain Raahi’. A total of 38 students participated in the same.

14 May 19- A total of 43 children learnt to sing ‘Saraswati vandana’ under

the guidance of Ms Seema Gupta along with the class teachers.

15 May19- 42 children enjoyed learning how to paint the pots in pot

painting activity along with their class teachers.

16 May 19- 39 students enjoyed the sports activities concluded by sports

teachers. They played games like-

i. Shuttle Run

ii. Zig Zag race

iii. Leg Cricket

iv. Standing kho

17 May 19- Children of classes IV & V were taught ‘Cooking without fire’.

They enjoyed preparing Bhel Puri and Lemonade and served it to each

other and the teachers.

20 May 19- Mrs. Keya and Mrs. Vandana along with all the class teachers

took all the children around the school campus for watering the plants.

Also they were shown a cartoon movie ‘Jumbo’. A total number of 33

students participated in the same.

21 May 19 – A workshop on Crossword- calligraphy was organized under

the guidance of Mrs. Keya, Mr D. K. Sahu and Mr. Sudhir where the

students were taught to form alphabetical letters and numbers in artistic

manner.

22 May 19-Flower making using paper napkin and craft using CD were

taught to the students by Mrs. Reeta and Mrs. Purnima.

Class 1, 2 & 3

16 May 19- Students of classes 1, 2 & 3 went to Akashwani Bhawan with

Mrs. Seema Gupta along with their class teachers where the students

recorded the song ‘ Stuti Aradhana’.

Summer Camp ( Senior )

‘Passport to Fun’ Summer Camp 2019 -20 was organized from 13th

May’19 to 22nd

May’19 for classes 5th to 9

th which was aimed at teaching

various new skills to students in order to promote a learning environment

and to equip them with real world skills apart from the set academic

learning. Altogether 100 students participated in the same . Summer

Camp introduces innovative ways of learning life skills and management

skills among children belonging to various communities .The core

ingredients of the programme are as follows:

Class –VI & VII

13 May 19 Sports (No. of students - 33)

The students played and learnt the rules and regulations of three different

outdoor games i.e. Football, Kabaddi and Volleyball ,to improve their sports

skills, physical strength and its knowledge under the guidance of sports

teachers. To enhance their competitive skills a match was organized

among two groups.

14 May 19 Activity – Dance (No. of students - 51)

The students learnt the dance techniques and the steps on Punjabi dance

under the guidance of Ms Daya and their class teachers . Students were

taught beautiful steps on the song ‘ Ye desh hai veer jawano ka’.

15 May 2019 Activity – A Trip to Army Aviation Base (No. of students -

101 )

16 May 2019 Activity – Toran Making (No. of students - 44 )

To make the students understand the value of old and waste materials and

how to decorate their houses with the same, they were taught how to make

beautiful Torans .With the help of coloured sheets, threads and other used

decorative items students made beautiful Torans under the guidance of

Mr.D Sahu and their class teachers.

17 May 2019- Activity –Sketching and Calligraphy (No. of students -

40 )

The students learnt basic skill of Sketching and Calligraphy with help of Art

teacher Mr.D Sahu assisted by their class teachers . Students made very

beautiful nature sketching and with help of calligraphy wrote the heading in

the artistic way.

20 May 2019 Activity - Fabric Painting (No. of students - 35 )

The students learnt the basic skills of painting and brushing on the piece of

cloth with the help of fabric colours under the guidance of Art teacher Mr.D

Sahu and their class teachers. They made table covers, cushion covers

and pillow covers. They also made the beautiful craft items like paper

Weight, diya’s etc with the help of white cement and painted them with

acrylic colours.

21 May 2019 Activity – Music (No. of students -47 )

The students learnt the basic skills, vocal scales, cords of the various

instruments. They were taught how to play Guitar, Casio and harmonium/

drum as per their choice with perfect skills under the guidance of Ms.

Seema Gupta.

Class VIII & IX

13 May 19 Music (No. of students -20 )

The students learnt the basic skills, vocal scales, cords of the various

instruments .They were taught how to play play guitar and drum. They

learnt basic scales, skills and tips how to play Drum and Guitar as per their

choice with perfect skills under the guidance of Ms. Seema Gupta

14 May 19 Sports (No. of students - 21)

The students played and learnt the rules and regulations of three different

outdoor games i.e. Basket ball, Cricket and Kho Kho to improve their game

skills, physical strength and sports knowledge. A match was organised

among two classes to enhance their competitive skills too.

15 May 19-A Trip to Army Aviation Base (No. of students - 101)

16 May 2109- Dance (No. of students - 18)

The students learnt the dance techniques and the steps on patriotic dance ‘

Desh Rangeela’ . They were taught how to perform on the song ‘ Desh

Rangeela’ under the guidance of Ms. Daya and their class teachers.

17 May 2019- Craft Making with White Cement (No. of students - 12)

The students learnt how to use white cement in making different types of

craft items. They made beautiful ‘White Cement Diyas , Paper weight’ etc

under the guidance of Ms Nindiya & their class teachers.

20 May 2019- Cooking Without Fire (No. of students -20 )

To make the students self dependent and to learn how to cook without fire,

they were taught various delicious and instant recipes like lemonade , bhel

puri and different types of vegetables sandwiches under the guidance of

their class teachers.

21 May 2019- Activity - Embroidery (No. of students - 15)

The students were taught the basic skills of Stitching and Embriodery.

They learnt the different steps of stitching and types of embroidery.

Students made beautiful hand kerchiefs, table cloth etc under the guidance

of Ms. Reeta and their class teachers.

13 May to 22 May 19 Horse Riding classes

Horse riding classes were conducted for the students of classes 6 to 8 as a

part of summer camp from 13 May – 22 May 19 , in which various

techniques of walking and trotting was taught to the students. Altogether 15

students from class 6 and 12 students from class 5-8 participated

enthusiastically in the same.

Educational Tour

15 May 19-A Trip to Army Aviation Base

A team of 101 students of classes VI- IX, 7 teachers, 2 attendants

accompanied by Army personnel visited the Army Aviation Base on 15 May

19. They left the school in two buses at 7:30 a.m. The pilots at the base

camp gave ground demonstration and also demonstrated about flyiny.

Students exhibited high level of inquisitiveness and thanked all the officers

and their team at the end. The team reached back to school safely at 10:00

a.m. after fulfilling the purpose of their trip.

15 May 2109-A Trip to Baidyanath Factory

A Group of 82 students from classes 4 to 6 visited Baidyanath Factory on

15 May 2019 between 4 p.m to 6 p.m. under the guidance of seven

teachers, 2 attendants accompanied by Army personnel . The objective of

the visit was to help the students gain first-hand information regarding

overall functioning of the factory which included witnessing the entire

process of preparation and packing of the medicines. It was indeed an

informative and educational visit which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the

students.

16 May 19-A Trip to Akashwani Kendra

On 16 May 19- An informative trip to Akashwani Kendra was organized for

the students of classes I to III on 16 May 19. A total of 99 students were

accompanied by 15 teachers and three group D staff and started at 7:45

a.m. The students were taken around the entire place in various sub

groups. They also got the opportunity to record a soulful devotional song

and a few snippets. The trip culminated with a short treat of chips and juice

for all. All the students reached the school back at 10:25 a.m. along with

the teachers and the group D staff.

16 May 19- A visit to Amar Ujala, Jhansi Army Public School Jhansi, organized an Industrial Visit to ‘AMAR UJALA Jhansi Office’ for the students of class VII to IX on May 16

th , 2019,

accompanied by six faculty members, two school attendants and army personnel. The purpose of this visit was to give exposure to the students on journalism and about newsroom functions, desk operations, circulation management, printing of newspaper and the other relevant activities. The objective was to gain practical exposure and insights into the actual working environment of a daily newspaper. The students were very excited about the entire experience. The industrial visit was an enriching and worthwhile experience providing students with a valuable window on to processing and printing of a newspaper.

22 May 19- Closing of Summer Camp The summer camp ‘Passport to Fun’ ended with the closing ceremony on 22

nd May 2019. All the students participated with great enthusiasm. The

school choir presented a melodious number followed by Instrumental music show and Remix dance by the students of classes 1-8. The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all the class teachers, activity teachers, parents ,students those who participated and all the group D staff members for their sincere endeavors and hard work.

At another venue ie under the assembly shed , students welcomed their parents with great enthusiasm showcasing their beautiful craft items made during the summer camp whereas few students as a chefs preparing food without fire for their loved ones. Parents were being guided to try some no-flame, lip-smacking recipes such as Sandwiches, Bhel pur and refreshing lemonade. Students and the staff had a wonderful time in the Summer Camp. They

enjoyed fun filled activities and most importantly, they learnt things which

are useful in everyday activity.
