A COLLABORATIVE OF ST. ELIZABETH AND
ST. MARY OF THE HILLS MILTON,
MASSACHUSETTS
APRIL 12, 2020
Pope Francis’ Prayer to Our Lady
O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus' pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross,
to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

EASTER SUNDAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD APRIL 12, 2020
THE VISITATION COLLABORATIVE
FROM THE PASTOR
IA blessed Easter to all! I hope that all of you are hav-ing a blessed Easter. It is certainly going to be an Easter that we remember. In these days of joyful cele-bration, I have been thanking the Lord for the bless-ings in life. It is a privilege to be your pastor and to serve you and for that I give thanks to God. I want to thank all of you have continued to support your parish financially in these tough times. As you know, without the regular Mass offertory, our running revenue is significantly down and it makes it a chal-lenge to address our fixed costs. To those who have been able to continue their commitment to the parish, thank you on behalf of all parishioners. Below is a reminder of the ways in which you can support your parish at this time: 1. Sign up for online giving: St. Elizabeth https://www.visitationmilton.org/donate-info St. Mary of the Hills https://smhmilton.churchgiving.com/ 2. Make a donation to the church via Venmo www.venmo.com/visitationmilton 3. Mail / drop off a donation to the offices at 29 St. Mary’s Road or the rectory at 350 Reedsdale Road Supplement to offertory: 90-DAYS NOW – FOR YOUR PARISH This special initiative asks, if possible, for parishion-ers to rally around their parish by making a special daily offertory commitment for the next 90 days. This effort is intended to supplement weekly offertory gifts, given the challenges of the current crisis. Should you choose to join in this effort, the Archdio-cese has created an easy-to-use link to donate. The link is available by using this link: https://bcatholic.sites.bostoncatholic.org/90DaysYourParish In the drop down list please choose either: • St. Elizabeth Parish (Milton) or • St. Mary of the Hills Parish (Milton)
Here’s What Is Happening Now: Divine Mercy Chaplet: This Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday. Join us for the Divine Mercy Chaplet this Sunday at 3pm live-stream Facebook (Visitation Col-laborative Milton). We will send out how to pray this beforehand. (Printed on Page 5) Adoration: We still have adoration at 7am and 2pm (There is a 10 person limit but we still have plenty of room for visitors at 7am and still have room for ador-ers at 2pm). Wednesday Adoration 6pm-7pm Mass: Like everything else in our community, it is unclear when public Masses will begin again. The live-stream Mass is happening on our Facebook Page: Visitation Collaborative Milton Mass is streamed at 9am Monday-Saturday and 9:30am on Sunday. Church Open: St. Elizabeth church is open daily 7am-7pm for all who are interested in praying in the Risen Lord's presence. We still have adoration at 7am and 2pm (There is a 10 person limit but we still have plenty of room for visitors at 7am and still have room for adorers at 2pm). Confessions: I am still hearing Confessions Monday-Saturday from 2:00pm-2:50pm. Wednesday evenings 6:00pm-6:50pm. I can also be available by appoint-ment. Rosary: Daily Rosary (Monday-Saturday) will begin at 8:30am on live-stream this Friday Future Event: I am planning a virtual online book club. I am thinking that we would meet online 1-2x/week on Zoom. One book option is Scott Hahn's Lord Have Mercy. Since this Sunday is Divine Mercy Sun-day, I thought that we would begin with this book. Email me at [email protected] if you are interested. We will schedule the meetings depending upon the participants' preferences.

An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated
from You. Amen.

St. Mary of the Hills Perpetual Candle
Light a candle in memory/honor of someone or for a particular intention. They are a great way of inviting others to pray for your intention and to let others know that they are being prayed for here at St. Mary of the Hills. Another way to use these candles is to have one lit in honor of a recently deceased family member or friend instead of sending flowers. The parish would send out a card letting the family know that their loved one is being re-membered with our candle here at the church.
St. Mary of the Hills Perpetual Candles In memory of: Ellen Carlson and Angel Langlais For healing: Jim Kackley and Benicio Gobourne In honor of: Gloria Finnegan, The Ciampa Family Please remember them in your prayers. To memorialize or honor your own loved ones, there are forms at the candle stand or contact us in the office. Thank you.
We will continue to have St. Elizabeth Church open every day (7am-7pm) so that you might be able to have the best place (in the presence of our Eucharistic Lord) and the available time to pray. In addition to this, there will be the following: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament: 7AM and 2PM, Confessions: During Exposition or by ap-pointment Confessions will be held in the room to the right of the sanctuary (door near the piano). This room pro-vides opportunity to be more than 6 ft. away and private. Wednesday evening Adoration, 6:00-7:00 PM
During this challenging time, when the faithful
are unable to attend Mass,
Magnificat is honored to provide complimen-
tary access to our online version to help
people pray from home.

Certain moments in life are “oh, no” moments. We suddenly realize that what we thought was absolutely true turns out not to be. Facts and new information forces us to re-think our posi-tion and we have to admit to ourselves and to others that we were wrong. Our certainty gives way to truth and we realize our mistake; hence, the ‘oh, no.’ Thomas has an “oh, no” moment. He and the Apostles had been with Jesus throughout His ministry. They were the first witnesses to His work, His words, and His miracles. Yet they were at first very skeptical about His resurrec-tion. When he appeared, Thomas was absent and the others tried to convince him that they had seen Jesus. He doubted their testimony. So when Jesus appears to Thomas, he has an ‘oh, no’ mo-ment. He not only dismisses his doubts, but he also professes his faith. In the community of the Church, we experience the Risen Lord. In word and sacrament, in pray-er and service, we find the assurance of the Lord. Together we join Him in working towards the goal of our faith: eternal life.
