An interactive session with speakers from different sectors: Anna Belu (Medtronic), Craig Benson (Montgomery College), Connie Li (NRL).
WED. 12:30-2:00 PM Federal Funding Town Hall A discussion of funding priorities with speakers: Lewis Sloter (DoD), Ellen Williams (ARPA-E)
THURS. 12:30-2:00 PM Work-Life Balance A session with a focus on time management, recharging strategies, work-life balance issues.
Major Activities: Education Activities governed by 4 sub-committees within the Education Committee Short Course Committee
Organizes short course offerings, recruits new instructors, updates and maintains course catalog, identifies new course topics of interest to the society and its members, and monitors quality of the courses
Organizes Tutorials held at the Symposium AVS short courses are offered during the Symposium; they can also be run at Chapter
functions and as on-sites at company venues Courses available in 3 main categories

Education Materials & Outreach (EM&O) Monographs and other educational literature Science Educators Workshop (SEW)
History Archiving of AVS activities Preparing commemorative material and activities for AVS anniversary milestones
