What´s a balanced diet?

• Diet is the food and drink that a person regularly consumes.

• A balanced diet or varied diet is a diet that includes

a wide variety of foods from the six groups of nutrients: Carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats and water.

How many meals should we eat a day?

• We should eat five meals a day: Breakfast, a snack at break time, lunch, a snack at tea time and dinner.

• Breakfast is the most important meal. We should have milk, cereals, fruit etc.

• A snack: You can eat a sandwich, fruit, yoghurt etc.

• Lunch: We should eat a variety of foods like vegetables, pasta, meat, fish or eggs.

• Dinner: We should eat a variety of foods like in lunch, but we shouldn´t consume many things.

What´s a healthy diet?

• If we follow a balanced diet and we eat five meals a day, thus we will have a healthy diet.

• You should follow these tips:

• Wash your hands before you eat

• Sit properly and chew your food slowly

• After you eat, you should brush your teeth

Do you want to be healthy?

• Follow a healthy diet, avoid unhealthy food and practice some sport.
