A 4-Week Series: Introduction to Yoga is designed for beginners to build a strong foundation, in a comfortable setting, for continued growth. Each session will explore fundamental yoga postures and breathing techniques. Participants will learn tools to build strength and flexibility, release accumulated tension and cultivate a calm steadiness of mind.Pre-Registration RequestedSeries will be cancelled if a minimum of 8 participants are not registered by November 25th.
Rebecca PrintenA devoted yoga student and teacher offering classesand private sessions in various settings, I have beenpracticing yoga and meditation for over 20 years, andbegan teaching in 2008.
Registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 500-E level and at the 1000 hour level through The InternationalAssociation for Yoga Therapists in Madison, WI, I haveassisted in teacher trainings and retreats with Scott Anderson and Alicia Wright.
I am certified to teach the Essential Low Back Program,researched and proven to help with back pain by theNational Institutes of Health.
I have studied Ayurveda (the sister science to yoga) and incorporate this into my classes.
In addition, I am a registered Occupational Therapist, and have experience in helping people to move functionally and independently in activities of daily living.
