Comments

In the summing-up exercise (B1/21-3.7), only the question corresponds to the aim of the module. The authors took advantage of the subject to ask questions “just for fun”, see how much general knowledge the learners have already and see if they can guess from the clothes of the period, for instance. It is not important if there are no answers given. It should be done in the manner of a television quiz game for example. Quite often, for example, do not find the first names of the characters by themselves, but when they see them written down they remember that they knew them.

Asterix is the hero of a comic strip. René Gosciny and Albert Uderzo created Asterix in 1959.

Hergé takes his name from the initials of his real name (Georges Rémi: RG in French). He is the most famous Belgian creator of comics. He created the character of Tintin in 1929. The albums “Tintin and Snowy” are translated into 45 languages. They are known all over the world. Hergé died in 1983 at the age of 76.

8 : Asterix the Gaul 9

Tintin is the hero of a comic: “Tintin and Snowy”. Tintin is a reporter. He is always accompanied by his dog, Snowy. They both take part in all sorts of adventures. He is surrounded by equally famous characters: Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, hard of hearing and absent-minded. The less than brilliant detectives Thomson and Thompson also go with them.
