Inspired by real events, writer/director Larysa Kondracki's intense political thriller tells the tale of an American policewoman who uncovers evidence of human trafficking in Bosnia. Nebraska cop Kathy Bolkovac (Rachel Weisz) is caught in the middle of a vicious custody battle with her ex-husband when she seizes the opportunity to spend six months in Bosnia as a U.N. peacekeeper. Shortly after she arrives, Human Rights Commis-sion head Madeleine Rees (Vanessa Redgrave) promotes her to the U.N.'s Gender Office, where she begins studying sexual-assault cases. But when Kathy discovers that her fellow peacekeep-ers are involved in a human-trafficking ring, the ensuing controversy makes her the target of some very powerful -- and incredibly ruthless -- people.

“A grisly, authentic... pulse-quickening political thriller about a hot-button topic that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.”

Playing loose versions of themselves, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon reprise their hilariously fictionalized roles from Tristam Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story for an acerbically witty, largely im-provised ride through the English countryside. Tapped by The Observer to review fine restau-rants throughout the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, Steve finds himself without a traveling companion after his girlfriend decides not to go at the last minute. After being turned down by every-one else he knows, Steve extends an invitation to Rob, and together the pair attempt to navigate the winding back roads of rural England, impersonat-ing popular celebrities such as Michael Caine, Woody Allen and Liam Neeson (among many others) and bickering along the way.

"Cave of Forgotten Dreams," a breathtaking new documentary from the incomparable Werner Herzog ("Encounters at the End of the World," "Grizzly Man") follows an exclusive expedition into the nearly inaccessible Chauvet Cave in France, home to the most ancient visual art known to have been created by man. A hit at this year's Toronto InternationalFilm Festival, the film is an unforgettable cinematic experience that provides a unique glimpse of pristine artwork dating back to human hands over 30,000 years ago -- almost twice as old as any previous discovery.

Vera Farmiga's directorial debut, Higher

Ground, is a coming-of-age drama in which Farmiga delivers a subtle, nuanced per-formance completely from the gut, with equally strong and compelling supporting

characters. Set against the backdrop of the Sixties, when feminism reached its zenith, the film expertly depicts the landscape of a tight-knit spiritual community. Inspired by the resonant memoir, This Dark World,

from Carolyn Briggs (who also wrote the screenplay) the film is an exquisite study of

one woman's internal struggle with the pri-mary love relationships in her life.

“Farmiga expertly guides a large and gifted ensemble cast and proves as fearless a direc-tor as she is an actress. She lights up Higher Ground and makes it funny, touching and vital.” - Rolling Stone

North of France, Sainte–Gudule, 1977. Suzanne (Catherine Deneuve) is the submissive, house-bound wife of wealthy industrialist Robert Pujol, who oversees his umbrella factory with an iron fist and is equally tyrannical with his children and ‘trophy housewife‘. When the workers go on strike and take Robert hostage, Suzanne steps in to manage the factory. To everyone‘s surprise, she proves herself a competent and assertive woman of action. But when Robert returns from a restful cruise in top form, things get compli-cated…

Every year, Max, a successful restaurant owner, and Véro, his eco-friendly wife, invite a merry group of friends to their beautiful beach house to celebrate Antoine's birthday and kick-start the vacation. But this year, before they all leave Paris, their buddy Ludo is hurt in a serious accident, which sets off a dramatic chain of reactions and emotional responses. The eagerly anticipated vacation leads each of the protagonists to raise the little veils that for years they have draped over what bothers and upsets them. Pretenses become increasingly hard to keep up. Until the moment when the truth finally catches up with them all...

“One of the most irresistible films of the year so far.” - Globe and Mail

Writer/director Richard Ayoade adapts author Joe Dunthorne's acerbic coming-of-age novel to the big screen with this comedy centered on the ef-forts of precocious Welsh 15-year-old Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts) to lose his virginity before his next birthday, and to prevent his mother (Sally Haw-kins) from having an affair with a smooth-talking spiritual guru (Paddy Considine) after his morose father (Noah Taylor) loses the will to fight for his marriage.

Duke White (Harvey Keitel) hasn't been an ideal father to his five boys. An inveterate gambler who never experienced a windfall he couldn't blow within 24 hours, he has come to the end of his rope, literally. Years ago, he signed up his three eldest sons for unsafe drug tests that turned out to have dire consequences: the boys' life expectan-cies have been substantially reduced. Upon receiv-ing the news after their father's funeral, the sons return to their family home in Niagara Falls, where they respond to their eminent demises in different ways. A Beginners Guide to Endings is a bawdy paean to those of us who have never entirely worked out our relationship with our fathers (which may include pretty much everyone).
