This shot of the video give me love resembles the relationship between the lyrics and the visuals “give me love, coz lately I’ve been waking up alone” whilst the character in the video wakes up and sits on the end of the bed alone looking very upset. I feel that this shot amplifies the relationship between the lyrics and the visuals.

Another shot that resembles the relationship between the lyrics and the visuals is this one, the lyrics are “I just wanna hold you” whilst the image in the video is the two dolls with one of them trying to hug/hold the other one. I feel that this shot amplifies the relationship between the lyrics and the visuals.

These two shots from the video show the relationship between the music and the visuals, when the beat of the song changes so does the image of the video making the video more interesting and intriguing, I feel that this amplifies the relationship between the music and the visuals as it happens quite frequently.

In this music video, there is one shot of the artist that is quite close up I feel that they have used this shot to try and promote the artist further and try to get them more attention. This will be on demand by the record company so the people watching/listening to his music can put a face to the voice.

Throughout the video I could not find any intertextual references or voyeurism, however when this shot came on in the music video I instantly thought of cupid and that the song/video are both making references to cupid.

During the music video there are two brief shots of the artist “Ed Sheeran” I feel that this video links to the genre of indie/alternative as the video tells a story which is what most indie music videos do, however it does also challenge the conventions as indie music video’s tend to have performance based footage which this doesn’t have.

These two images both represent the relationship between the music and the visuals again when the music beat changes then so does the image, thus amplifying the relationship between the visuals and the music.

This photo is not very clear but it represents the relationship between the music and the visuals as she sticks the arrow into his back the noise of the arrow is played within the song, giving the music and visuals a relationship. I feel that this illustrates the music and visuals as it only happens once throughout the whole video.
