Here's what we need:

look in your closets for items you don'tneed anymore: gifts you received andnever used, gifts you bought and nevergave, books, videos, toys, crafts, anyitems you might sell at a yard salegift cards of any amountbaked goods: cookies, cupcakes,brownies, candy jars, etc.

The Boston Herald is having a Holiday ArtContest. They are requesting drawings orpaintings with a holiday theme. Selectedentries will have their work published in theDecember 24th Herald Holiday Edition.

Students who have Art in their schedule willhave an opportunity to create their entry inclass. Students who do not have Art Class

The Learning Prep School Gender andSexuality Alliance is an organization ofstudents and faculty, meeting bi-weekly todiscuss inclusivity, understanding, andsupport having to do with sexual orientationand gender. We discuss school safety, waysto make the school inclusive for ALLstudents, and plan annual events, such asALLY week, the "Why I matter" campaignand the Day of Silence. Our goal is topromote acceptance for all and to enddiscrimination. ALL students and staff arewelcome! We meet the first and second Friday of everymonth in room 319.

High School Student Council is up andrunning for the 2018-2019 school year.Student Council had its election on Oct.4th where we had 13 brave candidates thatshowed courage, modeled good studentcitizenship, and inspired the entire LPScommunity with their school spirit andpassion for LPS in the election.

These are the offices: two Presidents, a Vice-President, Secretary, Public Relation, andAdvertising. The runners up in eachcategory automatically became homeroomrepresentatives.

Congratulations to everyone thatparticipated!

Please be sure your child comes to schoolwith a jacket as they will be going outside forrecess and be travelling to and from thecafeteria (E/MS only) and the Gym!
