Your Guide Your tour will be conducted by a friendly, professionally trained and highly qualified guide who holds a Blue or Green Badge awarded by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, the national professional body. Your guide is also a member of the Oxford Guild of Tour Guides and will be happy to answer any questions you have about Oxford.

For all fans of the most famous writers in the Oxford literary group known as The Inklings, this is the specialist tour to take. Your expert guide will show you The Eagle & Child pub where Lewis, Tolkien and other Inklings met every Tuesday to talk about their work, as well as the University church where Lewis gave a series of famous sermons during WW2.

As Lewis and Tolkien were both students here at Oxford, on this tour you will see Exeter College, where Tolkien studied, and learn all about three other colleges closely associated with these writers: University, Merton and Magdalen.

You may also glimpse how even today, with its splendid

mix of medieval architecture, Oxford is like a doorway not only into the past, but also into those imaginary worlds created by these celebrated writers.
