FESTIVAL OF FORGIVENESS

In this Jubilee Year of Mercy we are all invited to meditate on the mercy of God and let that great gift renew our own lives and move us to extend that mercy to others. Bishop

Estévez has asked all our priests to make Monday,

September 12th, a “Festival of Forgiveness.” He asks us

to celebrate this “Mercy Monday” by making a

special effort to make the Sacrament of Reconciliation

available that day. As you know, Reconciliation is always available here at Most Holy Redeemer on Saturdays from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. and on Sundays from 12:30 to 12:55

p.m…. and anytime by request! On this special

Mercy Monday (Sept. 12th)

there will be additional hours of Reconciliation

from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.,

and 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Maybe this is a special

opportunity for you to return to this special Sacrament, or to encourage others to do so.

God’s gift of mercy is given freely and abundantly … we are the ones who sometimes

hold back and delay and put up obstacles. As Saint Paul reminds and exhorts us: “Behold, now is a very

acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation!"

The MHR CCW St. Claire Circle would like to THANK YOU for sup-

porting the Breakfast this past weekend. It has been a privilege to be a part of this

circle for 4 years. To date, 450 prayer blankets have been distributed and we

are going strong with the support of our parish family. Results from the break-

^^A Mass in honor of Our Lady of Charity, patron

saint of Cuba, celebrated Saturday, September 10th,2 pm, Blessed Trinity, 10472 Beach Blvd. Bishop Estévez presiding. The image of Our Lady presented to the Pope will be at this mass, her first stop in the United States. ^^A movement to bring families back to the dinner table. There will be a cooking demonstration and talk by Fr. Leo Patalinghug. He will be presenting for one morning only on September 17 from 9 am– 11 am at the Adam Herbert Cen-ter on 12000 Alumni Dr., Jax. Call Elvira Demdam for infor-mation at 955– 9513.
