Hellwig Motorsports tubular Sway Bars feature our latest designs and utilize high strength tubular DOM steel to maximize performance but with up to half the weight of a solid bar. Hellwig quality shows in the details such as end treatments where the sway bar is tapered from round to flat to eliminate stress risers. Also, the ends are radiused for better clearance and a clean appearance. all bends are done on computer-controlled benders to provide consis-tent bends in a sway bar that fits right every time.

Supporting a race team in the deserts of California, Nevada and Baja puts demands on a truck like no other work can. The truck must be off road capable, dependable, safe, comfortable, and tough. A truck like this needs the ability to travel down the road at highway speeds then at a point on a map and exiting the pavement, must transform into an off road performer, able to traverse rugged terrain, intercept the supported rider to refuel, change tires, make adjustments and refresh the rider. Hellwig Products Co. Inc. in concert with Ford Motor Company set out to build a motorcycle race team support vehicle that incorporates all the necessary features and equipment to do the job right. Using an F150 FX4 truck as our platform we wanted to build a truck that any race team could take out to the desert and support their rider. Outfitting the truck with functional aftermarket equipment was just the beginning. Custom fabrication of front end protection, auxiliary battery storage and motorcycle protection was also necessary to complete the project. In addition to Hellwig Products front and rear sway bars, a Hell-wig traction spring stabilizer and Hellwig auto level air suspension many aftermarket enhancements were used. Skyjacker Suspension provided the 6” lift. Dick Cepek Mud Country 35” tires mounted on 20” Torque Wheels offer traction and extra ground clearance. A Warn winch along with a Hi-lift jack gives our vehicle extraction capability should it or another vehicle ever need help getting out of an undesirable (stuck) situation. Carr Products Super Hoop steps, a Lund International tri-fold motorcycle ramp, Tuffy Products Roll-out tool drawers and a Baja Rack roof rack all contrib-ute to the overall functionality of the chase truck. Banks Performance products puts more power and efficiency under the hood with computer programming and free flow exhaust coupled with a K&N cold air intake system. PCI race radios along with Bushwhacker Fender Flares, Husky Products, Optima Batteries, a Mag Hytec differential cooler as well as other performance and styling products all contribute to the F150 Baja Chase Truck’s capability.
