FOLIANTVEGA400AThe FOLIANT Vega 400A isanewgenerationofverycompact industrial laminatingmachine,designedforaheavydutydigitaloutputslamination.Itisequippedwithanintegrateddeeppilevacuumfeeder,ahighspeedbumpseparator,withnon-stickypressurerollerandin-run adjustable twin decurl bar and overlap system. Due to its pneumatic high pressure system (with integrated compressor insidemachine frame), format and performance themachine is suitable for all jobs– all kinds of digital printed sheets lamination and highvolumesofoffsetprintedsheetssizeB3+laminationtoo.Themachinemaximumspeed isupto18m/min.,whileperformanceisover2100sheetsperhourofB3portrait(whitepaper200gsm).

FEEDERTheFOLIANTVega400Aisequippedwitharisingpilefrontseparationstreamfeederandwithavacuumbelthead.TheBeckervacuumpumpisusedforsheetsfrontairing.Theoverlapsarecontrolled,inan„in-run“mode.Theaccuracyis+/-2mmunder-lap(inaconstantspeed).Thefeederisfittedwithaliftingplateanditscapacityisa28cmpileofpaper.

LAMINATORTheFOLIANTVega400A laminatormaximumsheet size is 38 x 66 cm (which is themaximumoutputs format fromXerox iGen4). Theminimumsheetsizeis20x30cm(A4).TheFOLIANTVega400Amachineisasinglesidedthermalindustriallaminator,laminatingthe115–500 gsm paper. The machine does not need any external source of pressured air for the pneumatic pressure system, because thecompressorisintegratedinsidethemachineframeasastandarddelivery.

Thelaminatingunitisequippedwithanadjustabletwindecurlunitthatcanchangeangleduringtheoperation:

- Withadecurlbladeforoffsetprintedsheetsdecurling

- With a decurl roller for digital printed sheets decurling (to prevent thescratchesonsheetsprintedonbothsidesbydigitalprintwithsensitiveinks).

Therollofafilmismountedonaquick-changedshaftwithafilmtensioncontrolbreaker.Theshaftcapacity isup to3000mof the24 -42microns film.The filmholderunitisequippedwithanin-linetrimslitterandaperforatingwheel.

Thelaminatingprocessismadebetweentwolaminatingrollers-ahighlypolishedchromeroller,andalowerhardrubberpressurerollerwithnon-stickysurface.Thepressure is pneumatically adjustable. The laminating roller is heated with a dryelectricsysteminsidetheroller,withasensitivetemperaturesensor.Thewarmingup time is shorter than 10 minutes. The non-sticky lower lamination rollereliminatesmachine cleaningbecause the glue from filmdoesn’t stick to it at all,evenunderfullpressure.

The whole machine is controlled from an interactive, easy understandable iconbased touchscreenand itsusedcontrol system includesmanyautomation itemsforaneasycontrolofthemachineandareliablelamination.

SEPARATORThe integrated bump separator (sheeter) is equipped with a pair of fast cyclingrollers. The process is controlled from the machine control unit. The separatedsheetsaredeliveredintoavibratingjogger(optional)oradjustablereceptionunit(optional).
