The World Community Service Centre founded by Shri Vethathiri

Maharishi, in 1958, is a multi-faceted organization that aims at inner

transformation of the individual on all fronts – body, mind and soul.

WCSC is a multilayered transformation process which begins with an

individual, spreading and percolating through stages of family, society

and ultimately to the whole World.

Founder

The spirit behind WCSC are the principles

enunciated by Founder, Shri Vethathiri

Maharishi, through decades of introspection

and research, systemized under a single

name “Simplified Kundalini Yoga (SKY)”.

He was a qualified practitioner in two

systems of Indian indigenous Medicine,

Ayurveda and Siddha and certified

practitioner in Homeopathy.

He has authored over 70 books in English and Tamil. World Peace,

Yoga for Modern Age, Logical Solutions for the Problems of

Humanity and Vethathirium are some of his books which provide

revolutionary and practical solutions for achieving World Peace.

WCSC President

Vethathiri Maharishi entrusted WCSC to

Shri.SKM.Maeilanandhan. An entrepreneur by

profession, Shri SKM has received the

distinguished Padmashri Award for his service

to the society. Under his able guidance and

leadership, WCSC continues to fulfill the

founder's vision.2

UNO & WCSC- The goals and objectives of WCSC are aligned with the

current core focus of United Nations Organisation towards achieving

sustainable development.

Temple of Consciousness, Aliyar, Coimbatore, India

Decked under the enchanting peaks of Vaalparai, (Near Coimbatore,

India) the sprawling 38 acres Ashram campus is cradled in arms of

nature. The picture-perfect campus serves with modern technology

and infrastructure to the residential needs of the member.

Aptly called, The Temple of Consciousness, it was constructed in the

year 1990 where Maharishi was residing and serving humanity till he

attained ' Maha Samadhi ' on 28th March, 2006 at the age of 96.

3. Village Service Project (VSP) – Mass transformation @

Grassroots: VSP is one of the main projects which reflect the vision

and ideology of WCSC founder Shri Vethathiri Maharishi. The objective

of the VSP program is to bring about sustainable social development in

rural areas by promoting spiritual education through SKY, preventive

health care, rural sanitation, empowering women, enhancing vocational

skills for rural children, conducting counselling sessions for rural people,

conducting alcohol/drugs deaddiction camps resulting in good health,

stable mental health and overall personal development of the villagers.

4. Women Empowerment: Women's International Spiritual

Educational (WISE) Trust provides successful training courses and SKY

practices to many rural women. It also provides vocational trainings

approved by the Government. Over 70% of the teachers of SKY are

women from lower economic strata and they are changing the lives of

several people.

5. Education through VISION (Vethathiri Maharishi Institute for

Spiritual and Intuitional Education): WCSC has experience of

Yoga Education for more than 60 years. VISION for Wisdom is South

Phenomenal Transformation of 160 Villages and 50,000 villagers

Empowering women economically. Making them stronger mentally, physically and socially.

India's leading Yoga and Spiritual Education Institute imparting

education from Certificate to PhD. levels.

6. Vethathiri Maharishi College of Yoga, has been started in 2017

to fulfil Vethathiri Maharishi's vision for creating a cultural

transformation.

7. Youth Empowerment: Specialised programs for developing and

empowering the Youth/Students is formulated by VISION, the

education wing of WCSC. Knowledge through SKY empowers youth to

handle self, society, family and the world with character and

confidence.

8. Health Camp: An intensive 30 days residential camp in the

sprawling campus of Aliyar, India. 45 camps successfully conducted.

SKY system builds character, teaches virtuous way of living, changing

the thought pattern and bringing about astonishing transformation in

overall health

9. Students Camp: A summer retreat for students in the foothills of

Aliyar for learning life transforming SKY practices which will help them

shape their future and carve a path for virtuous and meaningful life.

10. Yoga Masters: In order to bring about peaceful revolution

throughout the world, it is necessary to have well trained Volunteers in

30 MOU's signed with Universities in India, 1 abroad.150,000 plus learners

Programs by the Directorate of SMART (Selection of Masters and
