Key Performance Tests
• 8195937: Radiometric Performance
– Includes observations of External Calibration Target (ECT) at 200 K, 233 K, 260 K, 287 K, 299 K, and 310 K
– Checks NEdN, short-term and long-term repeatability (at 287 K), radiometric accuracy, and nonlinearity
– Performed during pre-environmental TVAC (abbreviated) and system tvac (full)
• 8195940: Spectral calibration and Instrument Lineshape (ILS)
– Includes observations of a blackbody at two temperatures through a full and empty gas cell
– Gases include CO2 and NH3 (LW), CH4 (MW), and CO (SW)
– Used for spectral calibration (CO2, CH4, CO)
• Equivalent to determination of optical axis for the metrology system as well as the as-built focal plane geometry and alignment.
– Also used to determine ILS shape (NH3, CH4, CO)
• FWHM for the sinc function lineshape for each band
• 8195904: FOV, FOR, MTF, and Registration
– Includes slit and spot scans
• Used for Coregistration, FOV diameter, FOV shape match, and encircled energy
