Welcome to the MedPlant (www.MedPlant.eu) Initial Training Network (ITN) Conference: An agenda for medicinal plants research for the future Through a training network of 15 young scientists, our research develops new interdisciplinary approaches and technologies for selection and sustainable use of biodiversity resources for drug lead discovery from plants. It is the aim of MedPlant to inspire appreciation of the Worlds biodiversity and the need to protect and study it, and we hope that ultimately it will increase the number of new drugs brought to the market. The conference will present the results of MedPlant and discuss a new agenda for medicinal plant research for the future. The conference is also a great opportunity for extending the legacy of MedPlant through invitation of external research collaborators and young scientists in the field, who will also be able to present their own work.

The venue is the main building of Bern University (Kuppelraum, Hochschulstrasse 4. Level/Room 05/501) and the registration fee of 250 SFr will cover meals, coffee breaks and the invitation of key-note speakers.
