Flea Market 2019 What can you do to help?

Volunteers: • We start setting up on Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 2, and we need a lot of help

that day. We will be unloading the storage units, setting up tables. All of this takes a lot of bodies so please consider spending part of your Labor Day with us. Any of you who usually work but have this day off and would like to be a part of this parish event, please come down and give us a hand. Work starts at the Lion’s Pavilion weekdays at 9AM till about 5 and on Satur-

day, from 10AM and stop at 3PM. Here are several specific areas where we need help on a daily basis: * Linens, books, electronics and the Garden area. * Recycling (collecting and dropping off our recyclable waste, such as card-board, plastics, aluminum cans at the recycling locations.)

• Lunches for the volunteers: During the course of the event, we will pro-

vide over 500 lunches for our volunteers. We don’t expect a gourmet meal, just, for example a sandwich, bag of chips and a cookie or a big bowl of pasta salad, a basket of rolls and a brownie.

The days of the sale, we need dedicated help in

• Holding Area

• Checkout (Cashiers and Ticket Writers)

• Security and Parking. Our event has grown to be so large, we

really need more volunteer power controlling the crowds. Friday, Sept. 13th and Saturday, the 14th, the days of the sale, we invite every-one to come down and enjoy the days helping shoppers, and keeping every-thing looking good.

After we close on Saturday, starting at 12PM, we really need your help with the Clean Up. Our display items, shelving, racks, tables - all of the items we store year round need to be taken back to storage and the Lion’s Pavilion needs to be

cleaned up by the end of the day. So, those of you who work during the week and those of you who don’t, we could really use your help.

Other ways you can help:

• Donate bottled water or soft drinks. They can be left in the Social Hall or brought to the Lion’s Pavilion. Last year we drank over

35 cases of water and soda!

• Allow us to borrow your tarps, party tents, tables and saw hors-

es. Please drop them off at the Social Hall or the Lion’s Pavilion

and be sure they are marked with your name and phone number.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!

Welcome to New Parishioners

Welcome to the Surrusco family and the Keegan family. We are happy that you have chosen to join our parish family!

RCIA: ARE YOU READY TO BE CATHOLIC? Ready to be Catholic? Join us on Tuesday, September 10th for an RCIA Forum where you can learn more. Perhaps you were baptized, but not confirmed? Maybe you want to know more about the Catholic faith? RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, and a forum is a place or opportunity for communicating ideas and information. As adults, we gather to share and prepare for full communion into the Church. We gather for 6 o'clock mass on Tuesdays, fol-lowed by sharing in the church office until 7:30 pm. Join us and begin your journey.

Archbishop’s Annual Appeal Update Thank you to everyone who has donated or pledged and has helped us to reach our minimum goal for this pledge year! Our minimum goal of $22,200, which is set by the Archdiocese, has been reached. Please continue to send your pledge pay-ments as all funds received over the goal are given back to our parish. All pledges would need to be paid by December 31st to

count for this year’s appeal. THANK YOU !
