Prayer– Finding Intimacy with God Though prayer is one of the essentials of a thriving faith, we often feel
as if we’re talking to ourselves—or, worse, as if we’re talking to no one
at all. How can something so vital to the Faith be so elusive?
Now, with the clear teaching and artistry of the Augustine Insti-tute’s Lectio series, Dr. Tim Gray masterfully uses the discipline
of Lectio Divina to show you how to make prayer an effective effort of
love and intimacy. In six video sessions, Prayer: Finding Intimacy with
God captures the secret to opening our hearts and minds to Scripture
as the means to hear from God and then respond in conversation,
basking in his presence and resolving to live in and through his love.
The class will be offered at either 10 am or 7 pm on Thursdays, starting
February 27, for 6 weeks. Classes are one hour in length. Cost for
course is $20.00. Please call or come to the office during business
hours to sign up, or call Jim Famolaro at 512-461-6108.
Please support our advertisers on the back of our bulletin!
It is through their support that we can provide this with no cost to the parish. Thank you for advertising here!

Does your marriage need a tune up? Or even a major over-
haul? Sometimes a marriage can run along fine and then things change. They may need your time and attention.
Sometimes lines of communication break down and they need re-
pair. Sometimes our focus moves away from our marriage and family and needs a little redirection. Sometimes a fair or average marriage is
just not enough. Have you ever thought to yourself, "How can I make
my marriage better?" If so, Retrouvaille can help. Retrouvaille is mar-
riage program for couples whose marriage has become off course. It
begins with a weekend program that can help get your relationship
back on track. It is an effective program that has worked for thou-sands of couples and it can work for your marriage. For more infor-
mation about our upcoming Retrouvaille Weekend program, February
21st - 23rd, 2020 for couples, contact: Andy & Lilly at (770) 912-0589

COMMITTEE CHAIRS Men’s Retreat sponsored by the Knights
for ALL men of the Parish
On Saturday, March 21st, the Knights of Columbus are sponsor-ing our Parish's first annual Men's Retreat. All men in our Good Samaritan parish community are invited to attend. It will be a special day of spiritual reflection and it will be centered around the Life and Lessons of St. Joseph. All Catholic men can learn more about and will be able to relate to the life of St. Joseph -as a man, a father and a husband. More specific details will soon fol-low but please add this date to your Lenten calendar!
Our Second Collection this weekend is for the Hispanic Ministries of the Arch-diocese. Our Second Collection next weekend, February 1st & 2nd is for our parish Building Fund. Since our building loan is paid off, this will help “build funds” for future projects as needed and approved by our Finance Council.
P. S. Ladies Retreat coming too! Save the date! Saturday, March 14th there will be a retreat for the la-dies of the parish. Stay tuned for details. ...
A message from our Grand Knight “I have only been a member of the Knights of Columbus for 6 years but
its been one of the great experiences of my life! I grew up in a large
Catholic family and I treasured that experience - just as I now treasure
being part of a Brotherhood with 99 other Knights here at Good Samar-itan! We have a special bond that is centered around giving back our
time, talents and treasures to those who need help in our parish and in
our community. Please consider joining our Good Samaritan Council of
the Knights of Columbus - as I know you will find it to be a highly re-
warding experience!” Jack Planchard, Grand Knight
If you would like to join or would like more information about the Knights and what we do, please contact Dave Bennett, Membership Di-
rector at 706-889-4776, [email protected], or sign up online at:

Adoration
Relationships deepen and grow when you spend time together! On the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, from 9am to 5:45 pm, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed here in our church. We be-lieve that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. You can sit quietly, pray, or read and deepen your knowledge of your faith. Our next opportunity is February 7th.
Pidele
perdon por tus faltas. La proxima oportunidad para Adoracion sera el 7
de Febrero.
Are you a “techie”?
Always wanted to volunteer but your skills are better with equip-ment than groups? We have the right position for you! We are in need of a website editor who will occasionally update our website with new and relevant information, creating an attrac-tive design that engages and invites people to return for infor-mation.
