HOW THEY ARE CHOSEN
The NOW sports staff contactsall coaches in its coverage areaand asks for nominations.That information is put on aballot to which NOW reportersadd their own first-handimpressions of players.Each staff member then votes forthe 10 players he feels shouldbe on the team, ranking them from10 to 1. Online votes are tabulatedand count for a fifth of the finaltally. The player with the mostpoints is named the Player of theYear and the next 10 players arealso named to the team.Those players receiving votes whodo not make the team earn highhonorable mention and thosewho are nominated but don’treceive votes earn honorablemention.
