LaunchRALEIGH will provide training, mentorship, micro-loans and networking opportunities to develop Raleigh-area entrepreneurs who have limited access to resources. Applicants are required to complete a training program prior to applying. Loans of $500 to $2500 will be repaid in 12 months at 5% interest. Once approved, recipients will be paired with a mentor. Because repayment is required, the program is sustainable for years to come without additional funding. Total commitment from the Rotary Club of North Raleigh is $25,000. Bridges to Success will benefit adult students returning to school to earn their GED. Students will attend Wake Technical College on a dual path for their GED and a certificate in a marketable skill such as medical technology or welding. The program involves two primary purposes. The first is an intensive program to teach recipients to be successful students. The second is a small scholarship ($100-150) to be granted for the certification program.
