CCTV SPORTS and SportsNow!• The 2008 Beijing Olympics will probably be one of the greatest international sporting events of the first decade of the 21st Century.

• No program has ever been produced that previews the top athletes and their events in such intimate detail before they compete in the Olympics… UNTIL NOW!

• China’s Olympic superstars are mostly unknown outside China and have not been readily accessible to the world media.

• China’s coming out into the world stage has changed the world’s 20th Century premise.

• CCTV Sports and SportsNow! will produce these 50 Programs working together. The Programs will start to be available for broadcast on 1-1-08 and all 50 Programs will be finished by March 1, 2008. This timetable gives us access to the final competitions held before the start of the Olympics so that the Program is current, up-to-date and totally relevant.

• This is why there is a new world order of Gold Medal-talent and why your viewers will want to know “Who’s Who” from China and internationally.

• Each and every athlete has his/her own compelling story to tell, for example:

• Liu Xiang, the world’s 110 meter hurdles record holder, is special not just because he is the best, but because he amazingly continue to excel and outperform the competition in an event where only hundredths of a second make the difference between first and second place.

• He carries the hope of the Chinese people and that made his hands tremble in Shanghai in September of 2007 when he lost to Darion Robles from Cuba. We are sure that Xiang will prepare carefully for his competition and for his chance to fulfill China’s hope for Gold in his event in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
