Mini Free view Digital TV and Media Player

What is it?When we first heard about this “TV tablet”, we got extremely excited with ideas about what exactly a TV tablet could do, flew around the office. We were slightly embarrassed when we realized that this was infact a media player and not a pill but our interest was still peaked.

So, after repeatedly slapping ourselves for being so stupid, we took a closer look at the Mini Free view Digital TV and Media Player. Portable media players are getting pretty common so to shake up this tired genre these clever bonds have decided to shoe-horn a Digital TV receiver into the tiny 10.5 x 7.5 x 1.8 cm unit. “Portable tallies have been around since

the 90s so that is not to impressive either” we thought. But this little portable gizmo has a lot more tricks up it sleeve.

The digital TV receiver has as an electronic program guide with subtitles function and can receive digital TV broadcasts up to 180km/h. So TV on the move is possible. Static TV is also impressive as a AC/DC mains adapter gives you unlimited battery and a portable detachable aerial helps pick up those elusive channels. Our favorite point about this magic little box is the fact it comes with AV leads and an aerial cable. This means you to hook it up to a TV and use it as a free view box.

Brilliant, especially as the digital switch over is very much upon us.

Laser Airzooka

What is it?The official line is that the Laser Airzooka is “A bucket shaped, high tech, soft combat, high velocity air cannon with a laser targeting system”!?!

Put in GFM speak that means it’s a “big gun that shoots air…… accurately”.  The Airzooka has been kicking around for some time now so cant exactly be called “new

tech”,  but it has just received a surprising facelift with the addition of a laser sighting and a change of colour.  The Airzooka now comes in stealthy black and they have replaced the old flick up clear plastic sight with a class I laser target.

As a general rule of thumb, any gadget that gets treated to a laser sight instantly makes it so much cooler and a lot more desirable (it’s a man thing).  The actual practical use of this super cool addition is that you get pin point accuracy when aiming the hammer blows of air at your chosen targets.

Why do I want it?If you haven’t seen or felt the awesome power of the Airzooka before, you are in for a treat.  This “hi-tech” gadget is designed to blast objects of your choosing

with gale force bombs of air.  It simply works by manually pulling the rear cord and releasing, but is surprisingly effective.  

Ubisurfer – Mobile Internet Net book

What is it?If you think the Ubisurfer is one of those new net book, palm top, mini computer, things. You would be right… and wrong! Because the Ubisurfer mobile internet net book has been designed with one particular purpose in mined. That purpose is allowing you to read this article… Ohhh… Aghhh.. No it’s not some fancy gizmo glasses, it has been designed to allow you to surf the internet, from virtually anywhere. It does this through a multitude of methods.

Firstly, you can link it up old

school with an Ethernet cable (or USB) and access the web through the physical media of, wire. Secondly, it comes WiFi enabled allowing you to access the web through any WiFi hot spot. Finally, this clever little beast comes Sim Enabled with a 1 years subscription to Videophones 1800 surf package. This allows you to surf the net for 1800 minutes a month from anywhere that receives a mobile signal. This 1 year subscription is included in the price of the Ubisurfer and only costs £29.99 to renew for a second year.

The device itself measures in at a palm pleasing 2.21 x 13.8 x 3cm. This does not make it the smallest gadget on the market but it is impressive when you look at what it contains. The 7 inch screen displays at 800 x 480 pixels, the 128mb of ram makes surfing allot quicker and the 1 GB of onboard storage can be extended thanks to the external SD card slot. There is also 3 expansion USB ports, headphone and microphone jacks and a fully functioning QWERTY keyboard and track pad.

USB Plasma Ball

I can remember the days when I used to wish I could touch one of those plasma balls off Doctor Who. They looked so much fun and you only ever got to see one on the annual school trip to the science museum. Not any more! Own you very own ball for less than a round at your local boozer.
