BLADES

• The blades in wind turbines of the Gamesa G8x-2.0MW platform are manufactured in an organic matrix composite and reinforced with fiber glass or carbon fiber, which provide the necessary rigidity without increasing the weight of the blades.

• The length of the blade is 39 meters

• The blades come with the necessary drains to prevent water being retained inside, which can cause imbalance or structural damage due to water vaporization upon lightning striking them.

SUBSTATION

• A 20MVA 22.8/69 kV substation will be built in order to increase the voltage to transmission levels.

• Medium Voltage facilities will have two vacuum circuit breakers for two feeders, and one circuit breaker for spare. A Fused Load Breaker Switch (FLBS) will protect the auxiliary facilities of the substation.

• A 69/22.8 kV, 20 MVA power transformer will be installed. The neutral in the high voltage side will be solidly connected to earth.

Page 77: 48 mw wind power

• High voltage output will be connected to the transmission line through a SF6 circuit breaker and a disconnector switch.

• DNP3 will be the substation communication bus

• Three Winding Phase Shihlin electric generator step-up transformer

Page 78: 48 mw wind power

• The substation is composed of the following main bays: A single 24 kV Busbar One 22.8/69 kV 20 MVA transformer bay A single 69 kV Busbar system (simple) One 69 kV line bay (going)
