Fair exhibit for Unit 6: Clothing 4-H Ages 9-13Members may choose one to make a complete 2-3 piece coordinated outfit such as:• Slacks with shirt or jacket• Skirt with top/blouse• Dress with jacket• Warm up suit• Pants with hooded jacket• Pajamas • Swimwear with cover-up
Outfit must have: • Buttons and buttonholes
AND/OR zipper• Collar or hood• Sleeves
Outfit can be made of woven and/or knit fabric.
Pants need to have an attached waistband
casing or elastic stitched down. A simple folded
over casing is not acceptable.

Fair exhibit for Unit 6: Non-Clothing 4-H Ages 9-13Members may choose to make:• An original design tote or bicycle
bag using Wild Ginger® software (free).
Bag must have: • Minimum size of 12” high X 12”
wide.• Two pockets• At least 1 functional zipper• Creative stitchery or applied trim
to personalize bag• Continuous side and bottom
panel, strap(s), front and back• Optional: lining, additional
closures (such as hook & loop, snaps, buttons)
• Documentation specified in class description.

Fair exhibit for Up-Cycle Junior 4-H Ages 9-13Members may sew a garment or fashion accessory from recycled/repurposed garments. A commercial pattern or original design may be used.
Item must have: • Previously worn/recycled
fabric as the major component of the item.
• Sewing as the primary means of reconstruction
• Documentation: include before photo(s), fabric origin(s), how design was created and sketches.
