One who has received

a general absolution

for grievous sins

must also bear in

mind the following:

1. He should go to

individual confession

as soon as the

opportunity comes;

before this, he should

not receive another

general absolution,

unless a just reason

intervenes;

2. He is strictly

bound, unless this is

morally impossible,

to go to confession

within a year;

3. The precept which

obliges each of the

faithful to confess once

a year to a priest all the

grave sins not yet

individually confessed

before also remains in

force in this case;
