Our school established in 1984 in Polichni-Thessaloniki and was housed at the same building with another school, until 2013, when we moved to our new building.

about classes and lessonsAt the First (A) class there are 14 common teaching lessons for all the students: Greek Language and Grammar, Ancient Greek Language and Grammar, Literature, History, Algebra, Geometry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, Religious Lessons, Gymnastics, Political Education, Project and one more lesson that students choose between IT courses, Management of Natural Recourses and Arts and Theater Education.The total duration of all lessons at the First Class is 35 hours per week and the number of students that attends this class is 101.3rd Senior High School of Polichni - Thessaloniki, Greece

about classes and lessonsAt the Second (B) class there are 15 common teaching lessons for all the students: Greek Language and Grammar, Ancient Greek Language and Grammar, Literature, History, Algebra, Geometry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, Religious Lessons, Gymnastics, Computer courses, Sociology and Project. about classes and lessonsAt the Third (C) class there are 11 common teaching lessons for all the students: Greek Language and Grammar, Ancient Greek Language and Grammar, Literature, History, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, English Language, Religious Lessons, Gymnastics and Sociology.The students of Exact Sciences attend the lessons of Mathematics, Physic, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Programming and Economics while the students of Humanities attend the lessons of Ancient Greek Language, Greek Literature, History and Latin courses.The total duration of all lessons at the Third Class is 33 hours per week and the number of students that attends this class is 86.3rd Senior High School of Polichni - Thessaloniki, Greece

other activitiesOur school participates, locally, at three programs of environmental education and at one cultural program, with different teams of students.In the past our school was member of two European Erasmus/Comenius Programs, whose duration was three and two years and collaborated with schools from Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands. The main themes of those projects was the monuments, the landscapes and the history of each participated city.

about teachersThe number of teachers in our school is 31.(2 Theologian, 9 Philologists, 4 Mathematicians, 3 Physicists, 1 Biologist, 2 Chemicals, 2 English teachers, 2 Economist, 1 Sociologist, 1 Gymnast, 1 Architecture, 1 Electrical engineer, 1 Theatrologist and 1 IT teacher).

about the duration of the school year and the holidaysThe school year starts at the 1st of September and the lessons at the 11th of the same month and last until the middle of the May, where starts the written examination, until the end of June.

The school is closed during the months of July and August, 2 weeks during the Christmas period, 2 weeks during the Easter and at the national holidays of 28th of October and 25th of March.
