SECTION 15010 MECHANICAL GENERAL PROVISIONS
A Final Completion Certificate will not be issued until the Contractor shall havefulfilled his obligations under the Contract, and shall have delivered at site andhanded to the Engineer all spare parts; if any included as per of his Contract.
A Final Completion Certificate shall, save in case of fraud or dishonesty relating
to or affecting any matter dealt with in the certificate, be conclusive as to thesufficiency of the work under the Contract and of the valve thereof.
3.18 WARRANTIES
The Sub-contractor shall warrant that the capacity, rating or duty of all equipmentused in the installation shall not be less than the performance specified on theDrawing or in the Specification when operating under the specified conditionsand in accordance with the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. Anyequipment/system not meeting this requirement shall be rejected.
The Sub-contractor shall also extend such warranties to cover the entire DefectLiability Period.
All manufacturers, suppliers, distributors shall submit related warranties alongwith submittal for approval.
All products and installation shall be guaranteed for a minimum period of 365days from the date of practical completion against manufacturing / installationdefects, and the Contractor shall be responsible to remedy at his own expenseany fault or defect including spares, labor and consumables which may occurduring the above period.
3.19 PROTECTION OF MATERIALS PERSONNEL AND PROPERTY
All material and goods shall be delivered to the site in new condition, properlypacked and protected against damage due to handling, adverse weather or othercircumstances, and be kept in packing case or under protective covering untilrequired for use.
Any items suffering damage in transit or on site shall be rejected and replacedwithout extra cost and time to the Sub-contract.
In the case of equipment and materials which originate from other countriesand/or different climatic conditions, all such equipment and material shall be
adequately and securely packed for safe transportation with due regard to theclimatic conditions encountered in transit and arrival.
The Sub-contractor shall be entirely responsible for all apparatus; equipment andmaterials furnished by him in connection with his works, and special care shall betaken to protect all parts thereof in such a manner as may be necessary or asdirected.
Protection shall include covers, crating, sheds, stores or other means to protectthe apparatus, equipment and materials from the weather, water damage, andcorrosion and to prevent dirt, grit, plaster or other foreign substances fromentering the working parts of machinery or equipment. Special care shall betaken to keep all opening of pipes, ducts, and etc. closed while in storage orduring the course of delivery and erection/installation.
