Shuttle to NH Geneva Airport HotelMost Hotels in Geneva offer a shuttle service to and from the Airport. You'll need to double check with your hotel, but if they do offer free shuttleservices you can usually find them at between arrivals gate 3 and 4 - you justneed to cross the street after the taxi area.

As we were staying with NH Geneva Airport, their shuttle service ran from 6amuntil 23.40 pm (every 20 minutes: 00,20,40 min)

Check-in Details - HN Airport HotelDrop off your bags at your hotel. We stayed at the HN Airport Hotel because itwas pretty reasonable and we got the free shuttle transfer to the hotel. They alsotook our bags into their luggage room so we didn't have to take these around theCity, but I imagine most Hotels will offer this! We decided to go without addingbreakfast to our booking, just because we wanted to explore and eat out inGeneva instead.

Geneva offers it's tourists free public transport on all trains and trams within thecity. If you're staying at a hotel, hostel or verified camp cite you'll be entitled tofree public transport throughout the entire length of your stay. If you're only inGeneva for a day visit, you can pick up a free public transport ticket for 80minutes at the airport.

Alive, Superfood KitchenWhen you walk into their 'Superfood Kitchen' you'll see just how many deliciousoptions they have on their menu. Being that it was all totally 100% vegan, andthere were three of us, we tried to pick as much as we could! This awesomeSuperfood Kitchen also doubles up as a space for Yoga & Pilates - check outtheir website for more info!

Montreux Noël Christmas MarketIf you're visiting Geneva during the Christmas Months, I highly recommend youtravel to Montreux Marché to see the spectacular Noël Christmas Market.Situated on the edge of Lake Geneva, this beautiful Christmas Market issurrounded by the Swiss Mountains topped with snow giving it that perfect festivefeeling. It can get really busy here, so allow yourself around 2-3 hours to leisurelystroll up and down the market

Montreux to Geneva

MU-FoodThis was one of my favourite restaurants in Geneva! I booked in advance onlinebut I am pretty sure you could walk in. Mu-Food only offer a small selection offood on their menu but all their main dishes come with a starter. Although it's alittle bit pricey in here (but where isn't in Switzerland!) I really recommendfinishing your day off at Mu-Food with their awesome Soup of the Day followed bytheir Red Curry with Veggies.

Geneva NightlifeAfter the days activities I was well and truly ready for my bed by 10pm. If I couldhave mustered up the strength, I would have checked out a few bars in the areafor a drink or two. Although I can't personally comment on these bars, I've found agreat website Wine & Tapas who have created an honest guide to GenevaNightlife - hope this helps!

How to get to Plaine de Plainpalais?

Take the Tram 12 or 15 to stop Plainpalais where you will get off as the east sideof Plainpalais. You need to walk through the Skate Park and get across to theother side where all the food stools are. It didn't take us long to find Ursula, but ifyou can't see her stool feel free to give her a call on 0765801550.

Top Tip! This stool is so reasonable, so if you've got a late night flight back homeor want to save some pennies definitely stock up on some goods for the dayhere!

Heart of Geneva TourThis free walking tour of Geneva is fab! I was looking for something to fill a fewmore hours of my time whilst in Geneva and I stumbled across The Heart ofGeneva Tour on the internet. You meet your guide at 11am at the Clock Tower,Pont de l’Ile at Place Bel-Air and the tour starts from here (don't worry if you'rerunning a little late, the tour stays here for 10 minutes or so!). The tour than takesyou through the city exploring the Reformation Wall, St Peter’s Cathedral, thebeautiful Flower Clock and the Jet d'Eau. And don't worry if you're not big onwalking, this tour has plenty of stop offs and even gives you the chance to have awell earned drink from one of their many Water Fountains (so make sure to bringa bottle!)

There is no need to pre-book on to this tour, but if you want to check out the datesahead of your trip you can do so here.

Goodie ExpressWe decided to grab a coffee at Goodie Express, a pop up stand on the platformno.4 in Geneva Train Station, that's accessible without needing a ticket! Theyalso offer a couple of vegan soups & sandwiches - but we still had some foodfrom the Market which we decided to eat instead.

Goodie also have a store in Balexert - one of Geneva's shopping malls. You canget here by taking the Genève, Aéroport No. 10 bus from Cornavin 11 stops toVernier, Balexert-Pailly. Directions can be found here.

Hotel Check-outStaying at NH Geneva meant we were able to take advantage of their 'LazySunday Check-out' which means you don't need to check out until 5pm! You justneed to let the concierge team know this upon check-in and they'll make sureyour room is yours all day!

Airport Shuttle BackThe are the shuttle times from NH Geneva Hotel every 20 minutes: 10, 30, 50min. Double check with your Hotel when and where you need to be to get yoursback to the Airport!

Good to know...Sunday Opening Hours - most restaurants are either open for a short while orclosed on a Sunday, so definitely check the opening times on the websites beforeyou go and visit them!
