Have a wonderful Winter Break!

Caring for Creation is Caring for People … those here at home and those far away … those we know and those we will never know … those who live now and those yet to be born.

Caring is prayer —works of charity—living responsi-bly. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of God is yours.”, Jesus tells us in today’s Gospel. He urges us to live simply, to share the abundance of creation and know that hap-piness lies not in possessing, but in being in communion with God.

St. Thomas the Apostle Parishioners, in caring for people, are now responsible for the completion of a third water project, this time for a school in Sierra Leone, Africa. The link to information about the project will be on the St. Tho-mas website soon. Also, 37 more people in this world will now have clean drinking water as a result of St. Thomas pa-rishioners’ participation in the TerraCycle project (located in the Gathering Hall). As participation continues, more people will benefit. —-Thank you for Caring!
