Reflection of the Gospel: The First Reading, from Deuteronomy, Moses implores the
Israelites to “remember” their desert story as they stand at the
Jordan River, about to enter the Promised Land. Moses recalls
for the Israelites the heart of the desert story-how God tested
them in the desert by afflicting them with hunger and thirst, and
then providing manna and water ‘in order to show you that not
by bread alone does one live, but by every word that comes
forth from the mouth of the Lord.” Moses twice makes the point
that this manna was “a food unknown” to the Israelites.
The Gospel Reading for today is an excerpt from the end of
Jesus’ Bread of Life discourse in the Gospel according to John.
Speaking to a Jewish crowd, Jesus repeatedly refers to himself
as bread, saying: “I am the living bread that came down from
heaven.” He concludes by saying, “Unlike your ancestors who
ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.” The
Jewish audience would have immediately recognized that Jesus
was appropriating for himself the sacred and traditional image
of bread and water from the Israelite desert experience. But
Jesus, as “the living bread that came down from heaven,” was
once again “a food unknown” to the Israelites.
Second Reading, Paul offer s us one of the ear liest testimo-
nies in the New Testament to the beliefs in the real presence of
Christ unites in our Eucharistic celebrations.
Reflexión del Evangelio:
La Primera Lectura, de Deuteronomio, Moisés implora a los
israelitas que "recuerden" su historia del desierto mientras están
parados en el río Jordán, a punto de entrar en la tierra prometida.
Moisés recuerda a los israelitas la historia del corazón del desierto: cómo Dios los probó en el desierto afligiéndolos con hambre y sed,
y luego proporcionándoles maná y agua 'para mostrarles que no solo

La Lectura Del Evangelio de hoy es un extracto del final del
discurso del Pan de vida de Jesús en el Evangelio según Juan. Ha-
blando a una multitud judía, Jesús se refiere repetidamente a sí mis-
mo como pan, diciendo: "Yo soy el pan vivo que descendió del cie-
lo". Concluye diciendo: "A diferencia de tus antepasados que co-
mieron y aún murieron, quien coma este pan vivirá para siempre".
La audiencia judía habría reconocido inmediatamente que Jesús se
estaba apropiando de la imagen sagrada y tradicional del pan y el
agua de la experiencia del desierto israelita. Pero Jesús, como "el
pan vivo que descendió del cielo", fue una vez más "un alimento
desconocido" para los israelitas.
Segunda lectura, Pablo nos ofrece uno de los pr imeros testimo-
nios en el Nuevo Testamento de las creencias en la presencia real de
Cristo que se une en nuestras celebraciones Eucarísticas.
Señor Jesús, nos alimentas y nos sostienes
con tu propia presencia y palabra vivificante.
Eres el pan de vida: el alimento celestial que nos sostiene
ahora y que produce vida eterna en nosotros.
"Lord Jesus, you nour ish and sustain us with your
very own presence and life-giving word. You are the
bread of life - the heavenly food that sustains us now
and that produces everlasting life within us.

Some Words from the Pastor: Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Peace of Christ!
I am happy to inform you that on the Solemnity
of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ,
June 14, 2020, we shall be celebrating the
Eucharist once again with you. Bishop Robert
E. Barron, our Regional Bishop, has given us the approval for
the reopening the church. Hence, we will celebrate the mass on
the following dates and time (and coming weekends)
June 13, 2020(Saturday) June 14, 2020 (Sunday).
In compliance with the health directive on social distancing,
our church can accommodate only SIXTY FIVE (65) people
for every mass. It will be a first come, first served basis. The
mass will still be live streamed on Facebook at 10:00 AM and
12:00 PM. The dispensation from the obligation of Sunday
Masses is still extended by Archbishop Jose H. Gomez.
In order to ensure the protection of each one, we need to wear
our face masks in the church, observe social distancing, and
sanitize or wash our hands. After every mass, the church will
be closed for cleaning and disinfecting. The church opens
thirty minutes before the mass.
Confessions will be available on Saturdays at 3:30 - 4:30 P.M.
at the Parish Hall, or by appointment. Priest and penitent will
have to wear face masks.
May the Lord continue to bless us and nourish our faith
through the Eucharist. May this solemnity remind us that we
are One Body of Christ as we keep on praying for one another.
We also ask our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe to
watch over us and keep us safe.

Teach children everyday actions to reduce the spread of germs
It is appropriate to frequently remind your children about ways to
avoid or reduce the spread of germs and to start practicing at home.
Among the tips are: Stay away from people who are coughing,
sneezing or sick. Remind them to cough or sneeze into a tissue or
their elbow, then throw the tissue into the trash. Get the children into
a handwashing habit. Teach them to wash their hands with soap and
water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing their nose,
coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating or
preparing food. If soap and water are not available, teach them to use
hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer should contain at least 60% alcohol.
Supervise young children when they use hand sanitizer to prevent

The Regional Bishop, Bishop Robert E. Barron, has given
the approval for the opening of our church on June 9, 2020
in his letter dated June 4, 2020.
Church is now open Monday thru Friday
9:00 A.M.– 11:00 A.M. For personal prayers only.
Our first mass for the reopening will be on
June 13 and 14, 2020 for the celebration of the Solemnity of
the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. The church will
be open 30 minutes before every mass. The church will be
cleaned and disinfected after every mass.
Vigil Mass (Saturday)—5:00 P.M. English
7:00 P.M.—Spanish
Sunday— 8:00 A.M.—English
10:00 A.M.—English (also transmitted on face-book)
12:00 P.M. —Spanish (also transmitted on face-book)
Only sixty five(65) people can be accommodated in the
church for every mass. It will be a first come first serve
basis. No overflow of people outside the church.
The masses at 10 AM and 12 PM will be livestreamed.
Wearing of facemasks is a must. Sanitizers will be
provided in the church.

BAPTISMS: Unless an emergency, the celebration of the
Sacrament of Baptism are postponed
FUNERALS: Funerals may take place only in the form of the
“Rite of Committal with Final Commendation (grave-service) at the
cemetery. Family members can request for a memorial mass at a later
date.
CONFIRMATIONS: All confirmations are postponed.
Rescheduling will be handled at a later time.

Algunas Palabras Del Sacerdote: Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo,
Paz de Cristo! Yo estoy feliz de informarles
que en la Solemnidad del Santísimo Cuerpo y
Sangre de Cristo el 14, de Junio 2020,
estaremos celebrando la Eucaristía una vez
más con ustedes. El Obispo Robert E. Barron,
nuestro Obispo Regional, nos ha dad la aprobación para la
reapertura de la Iglesia. Por lo tanto, celebraremos la misa en
las siguientes fechas y horas (y próximos fines de semana)
13 de Junio 2020(Sábado) 14 de Junio(Domingo).
En cumplimiento de la directiva de salud sobre
distanciamiento social, nuestra iglesia puede acomodar solo
sesenta y cinco personas por cada misa. Sera primero llegado
primero servido. La misa todavía se transmitirá en vivo por
Facebook a las 10:00 A.M. y 12:00 P.M. La dispensa general
de la obligación de las misas dominicales todavía es extendida
por Arzobispo Jose H. Gomez.
Para garantizar la protección de cada uno, debemos usar
nuestras mascaras faciales en la iglesia, observar el

La Iglesia esta abierta de Lunes a Viernes
9:00 a.m.– 11:00 a.m. Solo para oraciones personales.
Nuestra primera misa para la reapertura será el 13 y 14 de junio de
2020 para la celebración de la solemnidad Del Santísimo Cuerpo y
la Sangre de Cristo. La iglesia estará abierta 30 minutos antes de
cada misa. La iglesia será limpiada y desinfectada después de cada
misa.
