The double page spread of Q music magazine was removed from Q’s magazine April 2012 issue(Monthly). The main image right, is the same size alongside the full page of the article which suggests importance and also a authority throughout the article. The large ‘L’ which is overlaid on top of the article stands for the beginning of the subjects name, Lady Gaga so the audience can immediately acknowledge her presence within the format. The large image of her, covering her breasts is very sexual image which relates to the red colour choice: commonly red connotes love or sex. Its important to note that red is to the house style and primary colour scheme of Q magazine. The use of simple serif font suggest that a more knowledge audience would read it as they would not be distracted by more than one image. This double page spread article is clearly paragraphed and constructed chronologically featuring quotes from the subject, Lady Gaga, to show authenticity and exclusively of the article.

The first thing to grab the audience’s attention is the headlines that almost looks like each word is spelt out ripped up newspapers. Almost reminding the audience of a ransom note. This detail fits well with the whole article of finding out about the real Lily Allen and whether she is a little rebel she is made out to be in the headlines. Construction of the headline ‘People think I'm an attention seeker, but I'm just honest’ has been thought through because it being in a design it also reminds us of the newspapers headlines make us think that this is what the artists faces on a regular basis. The colour scheme is three main colours of which are Red, Black and White. Traditional colours used in NME magazine, but also symbolises the music that Lily Allen makes. The white background colour makes the content stand out making it more eye catching for the audience. The double page spread sows Lily taking up majority of the right page and then the text and headline being on the left page. The photo shot is mid-shot with no special effects added with lighting.

Lily Allen is stood with her hands on here hips, peering in at a angle. The singer is dressed in a baggy red chequered shirt supporting the theme of the magazine, celebrating indie music and presenting her background of being British. She also has a long chain around her neck with different pendants on. She has a very natural make-up on apart from her eyes as hey are outlined in black, her hair is the same there is no outstanding style. The fact that what she is wearing consist with the strapline, and the heading, what I mean by this is that costume choice doesn’t really stand out, doesn’t attract attention as she doesn’t need an extra attention.

The main image anchoring the other images on the double page spread. The Smash Hits logo is made to stand out to the audience/readers. The mini images of McFly members on the right are to grab the reader’s attention as it shows them go-karting in action. Images continue of McFly go-karting and what they had to say about their experience. The main title anchors the main image of McFly. A drop cap bringing the reader to the article, fits in with consistent hose styles and Smash Hits! Scheme. The use of surrounding and interlinking of tyre marks added to emphasise that McFly went go-karting, keeping the main idea in the readers kind.
