SBM’s SustainabilityExpertise Results in
Recognition for Johnson & Johnson
SBM customer, Johnson & Johnson, was honored with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (NJDEP) Recy-cling Award for its “Care to Recycle” partnership with SBM. The innovative recycling program was developed to improve diversion, deliver cost savings, and identify inefficiencies across J&J sites by simplifying the recycling process and providing comprehensive sustainability education.

SBM developed and supported the rollout of the “Care to Recycle” program across six J&J sites in 2013 with additional rollout in 2014.
By the end of the program’s first year, the average diversion rate across six sites was 41% with some sites nearing 50%.
