Custom shapes are stored in CSH format for use in Photoshop and PhotoshopElements. Fonts designs are stored in TTF for use in virtually all applications.Both sets of the overlays set 3 includes EPS designs. In the case of the font set, the EPS designs are the equivalent of the TTF designs. The CSH set is the coreset of designs, the EPS include the core and variant designs such as bevelled and shadow designs. The custom shapes and the font set are all vectors and are resolution-free so they can be used in a document 100 x 100 or a document5000 x 5000 without any loss of quality. All the designs in the shapes and fontspack are for commercial and personal use. The designs included in this PDF are all based on the designs included in the set, as is or modified in some wayor combined with a background or itself or another design. The custom shapesare easy to load into Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as they can be opened as a JPG or GIF file and the resulting designs are added to the custom shapes palette as long as the shapes palette is not close to the maximum allowed shapes.Once added to the shapes palette, the shapes can be used via the custom shapestool in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements as well as the cookie cutter tool inPhotoshop Elements, though it would be great if that was included in Photoshop,as well as the shape blur effect in Photoshop, which is sadly lacking in PhotoshopElements. Once the shapes have been added to Photoshop or Photoshop Elementsand accessed via the shapes tools, the shapes palette will appear allowing accessto the overlay designs. The designs included in the core set is 80 for the overlays3 set. Select the shape and then apply as either a shape layer or path or fill designand this depends on the selected button along the top bar of Photoshop. Thedesign can be added freely or constrained or applied as a nozzle by a simple click of the Photoshop document. The designs can be colored via the foregroundcolor in the toolbox or if applied as a layer, the color can be applied also via thecolor overlay in layer effects as well as by other means. Warp, transform, tweakthe shapes in a variety of ways, the effectiveness depending on being a shape layer or fill, as well as combine with other designs via the pathfinder controls ofintersect, exclude, subtract etc. The shapes can also have effects applied such asstained glass, distortions, texturizer and other native plugin effects as well asthird party plug-ins such as KPT, Cybia plug-ins, Alien Skin plugins and others.Custom shapes are a useful set of tools for millions of different design projects.Oh, they can also be quickly converted into brushes, saved as PNG files for usein other applications, exported to other applications such as Illustrator, used inAfter Effects and much more. Now to fonts. Ok, fonts are part of the OS and need to be installed via the control panel on the PC or you can just select them and right click the TTF to install; if you are on a MAC then you will need to install them via applications folder, Font Book. How to use them, well that is another story.
