Objectives

• To get a 3-D sketch of any real world model.

• Innovative capture and modeling of objects, using 3-D LASER

Scanning.

• Should be able to have access to humanly inaccessible places.

Reasons & Motivation

• Have a great influence on industry using 3-D LASER Scanning

technology.

• Our product can provide less expensive solution to 3-D models of

existing designs.

• 3-D LASER Scanning technology can be integrated into market for

a wider range of applications.

Body

• Spur gears

• To reduce the motor speed.

• Rpi 3, Pi camera and Motor.

• Laser Line

Samples

• Two different types of

samples were taken.

• Sent into working.

• The outcomes mentioned

Generation of Point

Clouds

• The most important, point

cloud generated.

• Done through the coding,

which converted the pictures

into points

Mesh Generation

• Needed a Mesh software to

create mesh.

• Had to develop a covering to

those points.

• In order to give it a Raw

shape.

Textured Mesh

• Needed a proper real life.

• Manually picked up a skin.

• In this case the stone

texture, a final output.

Limitations

• No data from below.

• That means, no pictures from

below the object.

• Hollow from below.

• Takes a lot of time to process

image.
