Easier Access into the Urban Center is Now Open
For the last several years travelers coming from the north side of Irving
into the Urban Center had two basic routes. The options consisted of usingRiverside Dr. or taking SH114 and using OConnor Blvd. to make their
way into the Urban Center. Las Colinas Blvd. E. and Lake Carolyn Pkwy
served as interior roads allowing commuters to get to the Irving Convention
Center and other buildings within the Urban Center but neither road could
be accessed without traveling OConnor Blvd. or Riverside Dr. until earlier
this week. Las Colinas Blvd. E is now connected to Las Colinas Blvd. N
with passage under neither NW Highway. Commuters now can travel Las
Colinas Blvd. from as far north as 635 and 161 with beautiful scenic views.
This route also creates better access to the Irving Convention Center.
