RULES

1 -PARTICIPATION

Open to all professional and amateur photographers, regardless its nationality, except the members of the board of directors of AFM (Photographic Association Miradas of Ceuta), and its relatives

2 - THEME

The contest consists of three sections:

A-Monochrome

B-Colour

C-Travels (monochrome and colour)

A maximum of 4 photographs may be submitted by subject. The technique will be completely free, except for the restrictions established by the FIAP regulations for each of the issues. The same photograph can not be submitt in each theme.

Authors who do not comply with all the conditions of participation, and/or who did not pay the registration fees, their works will not be valued by the Jury.

BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY FIAP DEFINITION (MONOCHROME):

A work in black and white, going from light grey (white) gray to very dark (black), it is a monochrome work with different shades of grey. A work in black and white, tack entirely to a single color will be deemed a monochrome work, being able included in the category of white and black; this work may be reproduced in black and white, in the catalogue of a Salon under FIAP patronage. By contrast, black and white work modified with the addition of a color or a partial shift, it becomes a work in colour (polychrome), and must appear in the color category; this work should be reproduced in colour in the catalogue of a Salon under FIAP patronage.

TRAVEL DEFINITION:

Travel photo should express the feeling of a time and place, portray a country, its people, or a culture in its natural state, and it has no geographical boundaries. The first plans that lose their identity, shots of models in study, or photographic manipulations that distort the true situation or alter the contents of the image, are unacceptable in travel contests.

It is not allowed to move pictorial elements, clone, add, delete, change of place or combine. It is also not allowed the manipulation or modification, except frame, cutting, correction of lights, focus and restore the color in the original image. Any arrangement should appear natural. Only digital files will be accepted.

3 – IMAGES SUBMITED

The images must be submitted in JPG format, and whose maximum size will be 3000 in horizontally and not more than 2000 vertically, with a resolution of 254 pixels, not exceeding the 2 Mb. Recommending the SRGB color space.

The award-winning photographs will remain property of the Photographic Association Miradas of Ceuta for its library. The Photographic Association Miradas of Ceuta reserves the right of play them freely to (catalogues, posters, press, reports, etc.), non- nonprofit and always quoting the name of each author.

Entrants certify the authorship of his works and are fully responsible for that there are no rights of third parties, as well as all claims for rights of image of the works presented.

4 - REGISTRATION AND SHIPPING

The registration will only be through the platform to do so through the Internet.

The image files, must be identified only with the title of the work.

5 - REGISTRATION FEES

The registration fees will be 22 €, regardless of the number of submitted photos, and payment only by Paypal.

6 - AWARDS

Honor Award 1.000 €, Pin blue FIAP and II Trophy "Pepe Gutiérrez", to the best author of the Hall, which will be who get larger number of photos accepted.

The cash prize will be subject to the tax legislation, applying the legally established deductions.

7 – JURY

The jury will be formed by photographers of prestige, whose decision shall be final:

Pilar Moreno.- President of AFIL (Asociación de Fotógrafos de San Fernando), member of FAF (Federación Andaluza de Fotografía), and FAF Artist.

Manuel Viola Figueras.- National Photography Award CEF 2019 Exhibition Chairman.- Africa Marquez de la Rubia.- Photographer and President of the Photographic Association Miradas of Ceuta.

8 - NOTIFICATION DE RESULTS

Each author will receive email information from the result; it will also be published on the website of the contest, the photography winners and finalists in each theme.

9 – CATALOGUE

It will be published a catalogue in PDF with the award-winning works and a large number of works of all participants.

Start date: February 1, 2020

Admission deadline: June 21, 2020

Jury's decision: June 26, 27, 2020

Notification of Jury's decision: July 5, 2020

Shipping of prizes: August 1, 2020

Shipping of catalogues: October 15, 2020

11 - ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES

Participation in this contest implies the acceptance of all and each one of the bases of the contest and the final verdict of the jury. Any case not provided for in these bases will be resolved by the Organization.

NOTES: With just present your images or files to a low lounge FIAP patronage, the participant agrees without exception and without objection to the images presented by the FIAP can be investigated to establish whether these are due to the regulations of the FIAP and definitions, even if the participant is not a member of the FIAP; FIAP will use any means at its disposal to this purpose; any refusal to cooperate with the FIAP or any refusal to submit to files original, capture by the camera, or lack of sufficient evidence, it will be sanctioned by the FIAP and in the event of sanctions as a result of the failure to comply with the regulations the FIAP, the name of the participant will be released in any useful way to inform of breaches of the rules.

The EXIF data intact submitted files is recommended in order to facilitate possible investigations.
