created by September 2011, a survey revealsThe organised sector in India created 704,800 jobs between January 2011 and June 2011 and369,200 more jobs are expected to be created by September 2011, according to the latestfindings of Ma Foi Randstad Employment Trends Survey-Wave2.The survey was conducted among 690 companies across 13 industry segments panning eightIndian cities. According to the survey, the healthcare sector has remained the largest employmentgenerator with 1,15,000 jobs created in H1, followed by the hospitality sector with 94,000 jobscreated during the same period.The IT/ITeS sector, which witnessed a turnaround in 2010-11 byposting a double digit growth, continues to grow at the same pace and has added 91,000 jobs inH1. In the cities, New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai continue to lead the job market generating

1,39,700 jobs between January and June 2011, as predicted earlier this year.KEY FINDINGS OF THE SURVEY: A significant increase in hiring was reported by the IT & ITeSsector in H1.This sector has also seen a salary increase of 17.9 per cent for lateral job shifts; Employment generation in the non-machinery manufacturing sector was lower than what wassuggested by the key players in the sector during the last survey; The real estate & constructionsector, which was among the top three in the same period in 2010, is now in the fifth position. At15 per cent, this sector has also reported the lowest salary increase for lateral job shifts; Amongthe cities, Pune has reported a higher increase in the average salary (17.1 per cent) for lateral jobshifts, followed by Bangalore (16.9 per cent) and Mumbai (16.8 per cent) during H1 of 2011; Hiring of experienced workforce is the highest in manufacturing with 7.3 per cent in themachinery and equipment sector in H1 The healthcare sector, on the other hand, opened its armsfor more freshers (29.7 percent during the same period.

level in 19 Public Sector Banks through a Single Common Examination A Common Written Examination(CWE) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for

selection of personnel for Clerical cadre posts in the Public Sector Banks mentioned below.This system of Common Examination for recruitment of Clerks has been approved by each of the 19

participating Public Sector Banks and the Managing Committee of the Indian Banks Association (IBA) with the

consent of the Government of India. IBPS, an autonomous body, has been authorised by IBA and has receiveda mandate from the 19 Public Sector Banks listed below to conduct the Common Written Examination. The CWEfor Clerical Cadre posts will be conducted twice a year by IBPS.

India,Dena Bank,Vijaya Bank, Indian BankAny individual who aspires to join any of the above Public Sector Banks as a Clerk or in a post in that cadre, will

necessarily be required to take the CWE. Prospective candidates who wish to appear for the CWE will have toapply to IBPS and should carefully read the advertisement regarding eligibility criteria, online registration

process, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters and score cards. Candidates who appear for the CWEwill be able to check their status after the examination. Scorecards will be issued to candidates who secure

minimum qualifying marks and above in each test of the examination. It should, however, be noted thatsuccessful candidates in the CWE who have been issued scorecards and who meet the stipulated eligibility

criteria are then required to apply to any of the participating banks they wish to as and when individual banks callfor applications, quoting their personal details and their CWE scores. Each bank will then individually shortlist

candidates and carry out their own selection processes such as Interviews etc. for final selection. Eachparticipating Public Sector Bank will independently issue a separate recruitment notification, specifying their

vacancies and stipulating the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, proficiency in OfficialLanguage of the State/UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply, experience (if any), minimum required level

of IBPS score in each test and on Total Score (if any) etc. Since clerical cadre recruitment would be onState-wise basis, candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/ UT only. It will therefore be necessary that

candidates appear for examination in one of the centres of a particular State/UT where they would like to applyfor emaployment i.e. they have to appear for the examination from a centre for that particular State/UT as

mentioned in Annexure I. The candidate may also be required to possess proficiency in the Official Languageof the State/UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply to be eligible as per the notifications of the Participating

Banks. B. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (as on 01.08.2011) : Prospective Candidates should ensure that they fulfillthe minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS before applying for the Common Written Examination (CWE):

Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying to variousPublic Sector Banks. However merely applying for CWE/ appearing for and qualifying in the examination

does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be eligible for employment in all or any of the 19 PublicSector Banks as each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/ qualifying criteria. I. Nationality / Citizenship:

A candidate must be either - (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) aTibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in

India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countriesof Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,

Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging tocategories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by

relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of Interview conductedby a particular Bank, if called by the Bank. (iii) Ex-Servicemen candidates who have already secured

employment under the Central Government in Group C & D will be permitted the benefit of age relaxation asprescribed for Ex-Servicemen for securing another employment in a higher grade or cadre in Group C/ D under

the Central Government. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Ex-Servicemen in Central Government jobs. (iv) An ex-Servicemen who has once joined a Government job on civil

side after availing of the benefits gi ven to him/her as an Ex-Servicemen for his/her re-employment, his/her Ex-Servicemen status for the purpose of the re-employment in Government jobs ceases. DEFINITION OF EX-

SERVICEMEN (EXSM). i. EX-SERVICEMEN(EXSM):Only those candidates shall be treated as Exservicemen

who fulfill the revised definition as laid down in Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department ofPersonnel & Administrative Reforms Notification No.36034/5/85 Estt. (SCT) dated 27.01.1986 as amendedfrom time to time. ii. DISABLED EX-SERVICEMEN(DISXS): Ex-servicemen who while serving in Armed Forces

of the union were disabled in operation against the enemy or in disturbed areas shall be treated as DISXS. iii.DEPENDENTS OF EX-SERVICEMEN KILLED IN ACTION (DXS): Servicemen killed in the following operations

would be deemed to have been killed in action attributable to military service (a) war (b) war like operations orBorder skirmishes either with Pakistan on cease fire line or any other country (c) fighting against armed hostiles

in a counter insurgency environment viz: Nagaland, Mirzoram, etc. (d) serving with peace keeping missionabroad (e) laying or clearance of mines including enemy mines as also mine sweeping operation between one

month before and three months after conclusion of an operation (f) frost bite during actual operations or duringthe period specified by the Government (g) dealing with agitating para-military forces personnel (h) IPKF

Personnel killed during the operations in Sri Lanka. DEFINITION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES :UnderSection 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act

1995 only such persons would be eligible for reservation who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disabilityand are certified by a Medical Board appointed by the Central/State Govt. Accordingly, candidates with the

following disabilities are eligible to apply. Applicants claiming such benefits should produce certificate in originalin support of their claim at the time of Interview conducted by a particular Bank, if called by the Bank

Visually Impaired (VI). Blindness refers to condition where a person suffers from any of the followingconditions namely (1) Total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better

eye with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending i n angle of 20 degrees or worse. Lowvision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive

Before pressing the SUBMIT button, candidatesare advised to verify every particular filled in the application. The name of the candidate or his /her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets.
