STAR WARS EPISODE VII - BATTLE FOR THE FORCE

The time of evil is over. The Rebel Alliance has defeated theGalactic Empire. The Galactic Union of Planets is establishedas the new sovereignty in the galaxy. It heralds an era ofpeace and reconciliation.

The underworld has broken apart. Criminals and outlaws takerefuge beyond Galactic Union space. Supporters of the oldEmpire are pursued and captured.

The Jedi knights, custodians of justice in the galaxy, havefallen into legend. Luke Skywalker, the last and most braveof their order, lives a solitary life on a remote planet. Hisdays of adventure and heroism long gone. However, the echoesof the past never stay silent…

Text crawl ends.

Pan down from the disappearing text onto the vastness ofspace.

A large SPACESHIP - an old freighter class - tears throughthe spaceways. A much smaller, sleeker SPACESHIP leaves fromthe freighter’s shuttle bay.

The spaceship heads towards a planet.

As the spaceship descends into the planet’s atmosphere theinterior is shown.

On screen:

PLANET STRAYUS

It is a class C planet. Non-industrial, an agricultural

world. Onto a large city and pan/screen wipe to smallersettlements. Onto a few buildings and a farm.

This is the home of LUKE SKYWALKER, the last Jedi in thegalaxy.

EXT. STRAYUS TOWN MARKET - DAY

Busy market full of patrons. Some astromech droids work atthe stalls. Luke is buying food.

Luke has a beard, unkempt hair. He is older with the

experiences of a full life etched on his face. Clothing isfunctional looking. He carries a weathered looking rucksack.

Luke chatting with market traders. Dialogue not heard. Lukesmiles and appears in good mood. He buys fruit and meat. Heplaces them in the rucksack.

FARM

Luke returning to his farm. A small BOY (age ten) stands atthe entrance.

LUKEHere... I bought these.

He opens his hands to reveal some fruit.

LUKE (CONT’D)Take some.

The boy takes the fruit. Has a bite.

BOYMmm, delicious. Any more?

LUKESome other time. Got work to do.

BOYIt’s true, isn’t it? What they say.That you’re a Jedi.

LUKEThey’re long gone, kid.

Luke pats the boy on the shoulder to signal a friendly‘goodbye’.

Luke walking towards home. Boy watches him.

INT. LUKE SKYWALKER’S HOME - DAY

Luke in his home - a modest dwelling.

Luke places food in a storage container. He walks into

His lightsaber rests in a cabinet.

Luke looks out onto the horizon. Memories flood back intoLuke's mind. Voices from the past. HAN, LEIA, YODA’s wise

mentoring. We hear the characters’ dialogue.

EXT. STRAYUS TOWN - DAY

Spaceship (seen previously) landing on the outskirts of the main town.

A ramp extends from the spaceship and three sinister lookingMEN exit on their speeder bikes. Their clothing, weaponry anddemeanor indicate their evil intent. They are ruthlessCRIMINALS.

Two ‘assassin class’ DROIDS also ride speeder bikes.

The droids are tracking Luke's location with heat signaturedevices. The men and droids speed away heading towards Luke'sfarm.

EXT. FARM FIELDS - DAY

Luke using a hov-tractor to plow the fields.

STRAYUS TOWN

The criminals ride through the markets and narrow residentialstreets. Residents are taken aback by their excessive speed.The droid’s tracking devices have a precise pin on Luke. Thedevices emit a loud signal.

FIELDS

Luke continuing his farming.

OUTER PERIMETER OF FARM

The criminals approaching the farm and Luke’s dwelling.

FIELDS

The harvested crop is filling up in the tractor’s collectingbales.

FARM

The young boy sees the criminals arrive and hides behind adisused farm building. He watches the criminals spread out -the three men take the left flank, the two droids the right.

FIELDS

Luke hears a rustle. He stops his machine. His Jedi force isalerting him of something. He turns his head to the side butthere is nothing unusual to see.

A huge explosion rocks the side of the tractor. The machineveers to the right and turns over.

Slightly dazed, Luke climbs out and sees the riders fastapproaching.

The leading rider (RIDER#3) fires a plasma trap out of thefront section of his speeder bike. The trap is a net-likeforce field.

The trap hurtles through the sky and lands on Luke. It traps

him, pinning him to the ground. Luke screams in anger. Hepunches the plasma trap open. He staggers to his feet.

The droids charge forward.

Luke leaps into battle and fights them with his fists. Hepunches both droids off their bikes and engages in closecombat. Their droid arms and hands move at super fast speedbut Luke’s reflexes are up to the task.

The fight is swift and brutal but Luke overcomes the twodroids.

The criminals open fire with their speeder guns. Luke runsthrough the fields. Crop is destroyed.

The criminals circle around Luke.

LEADER OF CRIMINALSYou think you can beat us, oldJedi?

Luke concentrates. He uses all of his Jedi mind power.

LUKE’S HOME

The lightsaber moves in the cabinet. The cabinet opens. Thelightsaber travels through the air, through the window,breaking the glass pane.

The weapon glides through the fields and into Luke’s hand.

FIELDS

Luke scans for his prey. His force sense is alert as ever.The criminals press forward. Luke raises his lightsaber. Theblade emitter is activated. He is ready.

RIDER#2 races in firing his speeder guns. Luke deflects theblasts with his lightsaber. As the bike is about to pass by,Luke lunges forward with his weapon. The bike is split inhalf. The rider falls to the ground.

RIDER#1 continues the attack.

Luke runs straight at him. Seconds before they collide, Lukeleaps into the air and lands on the bike, just behind therider. Luke grabs the rider’s neck and hurtles him backwardoff the speeder.

Luke takes control of the speeder bike. He arches the vehiclearound the crop fields.

Luke points his lightsaber onto the ground and the crop reactto the fierce heat of the blade. A trail of fire followsbehind the speeder bike.

Luke lifts the lightsaber up and races towards the final

assailant - rider#3, the leader of the criminals.

Luke catches up with the last speeder bike. The rider turnshis head around realizing Luke is directly behind. Heactivates a small control pad in the palm of his hand.

EXT. SPACESHIP - DAY

To cockpit interior -

Auto pilot mode is engaged. The ship takes off and heads forthe farm.

FIELDS

Luke opens fire with the speeder’s blasters. Rider#3 does hisbest to swerve out of the way but Luke’s accuracy is tooprecise. A shot hits the speeder bike. The bike loses controland slams into the corn.

Rider#3, cut and bruised, crawls away. He has dropped hisblaster. He starts to run towards the farm.

The boy looks on in shock.

Luke is fast approaching. Rider#3 activates the console padin his hand.

The ship appears above the fields a few seconds before Luke’sspeeder bike has caught up with the rider. The ship swoopsdown and opens fire.

Luke fails to see the ship appear. There is a huge explosion.Crop explode in a ball of fire.

Luke is thrown off his bike and falls to the ground. Bloodpours from the side of his head. He looks seriously injured,

unconscious.

Rider#3 touches the console pad one last time and the shiplands near to Luke. Rider#3 can barely walk. He staggers backto Luke.

INSIDE SHIP

The rider drags Luke up the ship’s ramp, drops him on thefloor. Plasma locks are placed on Luke’s arms and legs.Rider#3 activates the ramp and it is raised up into the ship.

The rider wipes some of his blood off his uniform. Heactivates the engine. The ship lifts up off the ground. Itgains height.

FARM

The boy looks up. He runs down the dusty road as the shipsoars up and away.

EXT. GALACTIC UNION OF PLANETS - PLANET EQUITA - DAY

On screen:

PLANET EQUITA

Establishing shot of Equita. A class A planet – advanced,democratic governance.

The planet is covered by a vast ionosphere shield. A tinysection in the western northern hemisphere - close to UnionCity, the capital - remains shield-less. Its section isseveral miles in length.

EXT. UNION CITY - DAY

An industrialized city.

EXT. UNION CITY - GALACTIC UNION BASE - DAY

The base covers a large area. It is surrounded by a highdefensive wall with ion and laser cannon emplacements.

The base is divided into several zones.

1) Parliament, library and other admin buildings. TheParliament building is large. Consists of a legislativechamber and many other administrative levels, offices,debating halls.

2) Military command centre, hangars housing X-Wing fighters

and larger transporter and shuttle ships, several runways,barracks, communication dishes.

3) Training academy. A small spacebay is situated close tothe academy.

4) Shield Defence Centre.

5) Gardens.

A wide, long roadway is the only direct land access to theunion base. The area around the base is skyrise blocks. UnionCity is densely populated.

INT. GALACTIC UNION BASE - PRESIDENT’S OFFICE - DAY

The leader of the Galactic Union, President JONAH YIRA , sitsat his desk. Approximately fifty years old. He wears theclothing of his political rank. His chief security officer,

Captain BRAX, stands close by.

HAN SOLO and CHEWBACCA enter.

Han looks older. He still retains the maverick quality to hispersonality. His Wookie companion hasn’t changed much. Hishair is slightly thicker with a few specks of grey.

PRESIDENT YIRA Solo.

HANPresident Yira.

They shake hands.

PRESIDENT YIRA This is captain Brax, my chiefsecurity officer. Brax, this is HanSolo and his Wookie, Chewbacca.

They acknowledge each other.

PRESIDENT YIRA(CONT’D)I thought it only right you were

the first to know.He passes a small data file to Han. Han reads the file.

HANWhen did this happen?

PRESIDENT YIRA Less than a week ago. Strayus’ lawenforcement alerted us.

Han shakes his head in disbelief.

PRESIDENT YIRA (CONT’D)Two days ago an informant on planetMetus contacted Captain Brax.Secure channel.

Yira activates a viewscreen. A spy satellite camera feed istracking the interior of the planet. Close-up images of ahigh-tech city and a research facility.

PRESIDENT YIRA (CONT’D)Informant provided the preciselocation. A research facility inthe finance zone of Metus-cit.

HANMilitary or civilian?

PRESIDENT YIRA Unknown, although most likelyheavily guarded. (beat) This is

most serious. The capture ofSkywalker presents certain...difficulties.

HANDifficulties?

PRESIDENT YIRA The Galactic Union doesn’t need adiplomatic incident with the Metusgovernment. We have establishedtrade accords with the planet.

HANMetus is a slave world. Corrupt.Why should we give a damn aboutthem?

PRESIDENT YIRA Maybe... but I have to look at thebigger picture.

HANSpoken like a true politician. Self-interest always comes first, huh?

Yira’s demeanor changes.

PRESIDENT YIRA Don’t be too quick to judge me,Solo. Your past is well documented.Smuggling isn’t exactly the mostnoble career path.

Chewbacca makes a snarl to suggest he doesn’t like theleader.

(turns back to Yira)Chewie here has a natural dislikeof lying politicians. I kinda know

the feeling.

Yira grimaces and moves his head away from Chewbacca. Itconveys the fact he can’t stand the smell of Wookies.

HAN (CONT’D)What do you want with me?

PRESIDENT YIRA Covert mission. You, your Wookie,go in, rescue Skywalker.

HAN

Just like that?

PRESIDENT YIRA With troop backup, of course.Captain Brax will provide all youneed.

The security chief nods his head in agreement.

HANYour informant reliable?

PRESIDENT YIRA Absolutely. You have my word.

HANI’ve heard that before.

PRESIDENT YIRA Whatever your thoughts about me,I’m fully aware how much Skywalker

means to you.

HANWith been through a lot together.

PRESIDENT YIRA His service to the Rebellion wasinvaluable. (beat) But let me makeit perfectly clear, Solo. Skywalkeris the last of the Jedi Order.There’s no-one else. We can’tafford to lose him.

EXT. PLANET METUS - NIGHT

EXT. CITY - METUS - NIGHT

The high-tech city is painted in vibrant blue hue.Onto a research facility in a quiet industrial zone.Facility’s compound contains land speeders. Several bulkysecurity droids patrol the exterior perimeter of the walledcompound.

INT. RESEARCH FACILITY - LABORATORY - NIGHT

Large size laboratory. Consists of large computer desk, medical equipment - centrifuges, electron microscopes etc.

Three glass containment chambers stand in the center of thelab.

FIRST CHAMBER

Luke rests on a prison-type bed inside chamber#1. He isstrapped down. He remains unconscious. A life support systemis attached to Luke.

Various tubes are connected to his head and body. A largertube extends from his right side and passes through a hole inthe chamber. The tube continues into the second, middlechamber.

TWO MEN stand close to the chambers:

TYRAS ZOR - an intelligent man of average build, precise ageindeterminate. He is ruthlessly single-minded and will stopat nothing to achieve his goals. He is the leader of THE ZORNcriminal organization.

IDIGO RAZE - extremely muscular. His sinister face isobscured by a helmet. Wears protective body armor. He isZorn’s chief security officer and second-in-command.

Nearby, GLOST – a small ALIEN with the power of levitation.Military advisor and strategist. Has a cowardly dispositionbut is naturally cunning.

Approximately ten MEN stand in the background. They work forTyras Zor. Another MAN stands close to them. He is thecriminal responsible for the capture of Luke.

ALIENS (four in number) work around the chambers. Alien#1presses several buttons on console view screen. Various dataappears on screen.

We’re ready to proceed, MasterTyras Zor.

ALIEN#1His injuries will have no

detrimental effect on theprocedure.

IDIGO RAZEIs the risk worth it, Tyras?

TYRAS ZORAll great advancement comes withrisk, Raze. It’s to be expected.

THIRD CHAMBER

Zor enters the third chamber.

ALIEN#2 and #3 follow him. Zor approaches a prison-type bed.He reclines on the bed. Alien#3 attaches straps to his armsand legs. A small round device is attached to Zor’s head.

Medical apparatus is next to the bed. Leads extend from theapparatus. The alien connects the tubes to the device onZorn’s head.

ALIEN#2Make sure the connection leadsremain fully secure.

The two aliens leave the chamber. The chamber door closes.

ALIEN#1Chambers fully sealed. Initiatingadaption.

The alien presses buttons on the main laboratory console.

FIRST CHAMBER

Luke’s containment chamber lights up with electric charge.

Luke’s body heaves under the strain.SECOND CHAMBER

The second chamber begins to light up with electric charge. Agaseous trail enters via the tube. The gaseous trail takesthe form of a bright ethereal cloud. It is the force. It isincredibly bright like a mini super-nova.

LABORATORY

The light soaks the entire laboratory in glorious pure white.The laboratory shifts and warps as if its place in time and

space is under threat. A kaleidoscopic phenomenon.

Zor’s crew look on with alarm.

ALIEN#1 (CONT’D)Partial extraction of patient’sforce a success. No volatilechemical elements or mutagensfound. No containment leakage.

IDIGO RAZEExcellent. Continue.

ALIEN#1Re-adaption beginning.

The force passes into the third chamber via a connecting tubeon the right wall of the second chamber. The kaleidoscopicreaction subsides.

THIRD CHAMBER

The force travels through the tube and out of the smallertube connected to Zor’s head. The chamber lights up withelectric charge. The force burns into Zor’s body.

INSIDE TYRAS ZOR’S BODY

The cells change, mutate, to adapt to the force energy. Zorscreams in pain.

LABORATORY

ALIEN#1 (CONT’D)This is expected. Cellularreconstruction. His pain will betemporary.

The electric charge stops. Zorn’s pain lessens. His breathingbecomes less shallow.

ALIEN#1 (CONT’D)(checking console screen)

All life signs read normal.Cognitive function normal. Anatomicstructure remains intact.

Alien#2 activates Zor’s chamber control panel. The dooropens. There is a sense of nervous expectation as everyone waits for Zor. He walks out of the chamber room.

IDIGO RAZEHow do you feel?

Zor touches his face.

TYRAS ZORReborn.

ALIEN#1The physical transformation you’veundergone is medicallyunprecedented. You’ll need time torest, to adapt to the change.

TYRAS ZORIt can wait. (beat) Glost, readythe shuttle. We leave within thehour.

The alien acknowledges the order and floats out of the lab.

Zor brings his hands close together. He concentrates. A smallliquid container shakes on the console. It rises and floatstowards Zor. He manipulates its movement in graceful fashion.It passes into his hand.

TYRAS ZOR (CONT’D)(to himself)

The power of the force.Extraordinary.

EXT. RESEARCH FACILITY - SKY - NIGHT

A Galactic Union SPACESHIP descending from the night sky.

INT. SPACESHIP COCKPIT - NIGHT

PILOT at the helm.

PILOTAny closer and we risk detection.

BRAXMaintain altitude here. Solo?

Han enters the cockpit. Brax points to the viewscreen. Theresearch facility is displayed.

BRAX (CONT’D)Security droids around theperimeter. (he points to them onthe screen) They shouldn’t noticeus. Prep for launch.

Han walks into the

LANDING BAY

Chewbacca and a team of four Galactic Union SOLDIERS. They’re wearing rocket packs and helmets. Chewbacca is helmet-less.Han attaches a rocket pack to his back.

Brax enters the cargo bay. He gestures with his hand and oneof the soldiers operates the cargo bay’s console panel. Thelanding bay ramp opens.

BRAX (CONT’D)

Metus has a thin atmosphere. Verycold.

Brax and the others position themselves at the edge of theramp. Below, the city of Metus. Han looks at Chewbacca as ifto reassure him. Han puts the helmet on. The console displaylight shines red.

BRAX (CONT’D)Tight formation. Follow my lead.

The console display light turns to green. Brax launcheshimself out of the ship. The rest of the team follow.

EXT. METUS SKY - NIGHT

The team descending through the cloud cover.

INT. LABORATORY - NIGHT

LEADER OF CRIMINALSThe original fee we agreed, Zor.Not enough. Skywalker took out myteam.

TYRAS ZORWhat did you expect from a JediMaster? You should be thankfulyou’re still alive to enjoy thespoils.

Zor extends his hand. He is holding a case.

TYRAS ZOR (CONT’D)Take it or leave it.

The criminal gives a scornful look but accepts payment. He

takes the case.TYRAS ZOR (CONT’D)

Wise choice.

METUS SKY

Han and his team soar down through the high-rise blockstowards the research facility. They land on the researchfacility’s roof.

Brax and Han scan the facility with their night visionbinoculars. Below, the security droids continue their nightly

vigil.

The soldiers head to the roof door entrance.

TROOPER#1 removes a small device from his uniform andattaches it to the door.

TROOPER#1Disassembler on.

The device starts to atomize part of the door.

LABORATORY

Raze is sitting at the computer console. Zor stands lookingover him. Computer files, folders and memory cache are beingdeleted.

IDIGO RAZEDatabase clean. No memory trace.

TYRAS ZOR

Good.

Several gang members are packing parts of the extractionequipment into storage cases.

TYRAS ZOR (CONT’D)Handle those with care.

RESEARCH FACILITY ROOF

The disassembler creates a large enough hole for access. Theteam enter into

INT. RESEARCH FACILITY - CORRIDOR - NIGHT

BRAXLaboratory is level twenty two.

The team head along the corridor.

INT. ELEVATOR COMPLEX - NIGHT

A series of elevators linking all levels of the researchfacility.

BRAX (CONT’D)Hold it!

Brax scans the corridor with his binoculars. He zooms inseveral feet up the corridor and locates a small camerapositioned above the entrance of the elevator complex.

BRAX (CONT’D)Security cam. On a thirty secondsweep cycle.

HANThat’s pretty short.

(to Chewie)You think we can make it, oldtimer?

Chewbacca grunts a “yes.”

HAN (CONT’D)That’s the spirit!

Brax gestures with his hand and the men run forward as thesecurity camera moves away from them. They reach the doorentrance just before the camera spots them. They standdirectly below the camera.

BRAX(whispering)

Not a sound.

Trooper#2 activates the elevator console. The doors open andthe men enter the elevator.

LABORATORY

Alien#3 has unlocked Luke’s straps. Alien#4 checks Luke’slife signs. A glass tube container - able to accommodate anadult human - is brought forward.

The alien speaks to the other in its native language.

ALIEN(subtitles )

Transfer the patient.

ELEVATOR

The elevator descends to the twenty second level.

LABORATORY

On the console desk, alien#1 viewing a detailed computerrendered image of Zor’s body.

ALIEN#1Our readings indicate the force isstrong within you, Master Zor.

Zor draws the alien closer by use of his hand. The alien

lurches forward. Zor’s face and words convey intimidation -TYRAS ZOR

And what else do you sense within me? The calling of the Jedi way orthe dark side?

ALIEN#1My race is not endowed with humanemotions like fear.

TYRAS ZORThen you’re most fortunate.

Zor flicks his hand and the alien flinches back. It is nolonger under Zorn’s control.

Zor activates a viewscreen. On display: a dark room. Several men sitting around a table. Their faces are shrouded inshadow.

TYRAS ZOR (CONT’D)

The extraction is a success. Theresults... enlightening.

SHROUDED MANWe feel Skywalker should beexecuted as soon as possible. Handhim over to us and we can proceedto the next stage of our agreement.

TYRAS ZORI will deal with the Jedi. He’s notyour concern. We’ll meet on Tero infour standard galactic days.

Zor ends the communication.

IDIGO RAZEWhy keep Skywalker? He’s of littleuse now. It’ll be a great honor ifI kill the last of the Jedi.

TYRAS ZORNo, temper your enthusiasm, Raze.We’ll take him with us. On the open

market he’s worth more alive thandead.

ENTRANCE TO LABORATORY

Two guards stand at the entrance. Han and Brax scan theirvision binoculars through two large glass doors into theinterior. Images of the targets light up on their binoculars’view screens.

BRAXTarget confirmed. It’s Skywalker.

Brax points at the two guards. Trooper#1 fires silencer blast

rounds at the guards. They slump to the ground.

TROOPER#2 holds two gas grenades. Brax activates the doors’console. The doors open and the grenades are thrown into thelaboratory. There is a huge explosion of smoke.

LABORATORY

Brax launches the offensive.

BRAX (CONT’D)This is the Galactic Union!Surrender!

Zor’s men ignore the warning and open fire. Han and his teamdrop behind medical equipment.

HAN(with sarcasm)

Effective speech!

Zor’s men continue blasting.

HAN (CONT’D)Me, I prefer the diplomacy of aloaded blaster!

Han stands and opens fire. A chaotic blaster exchange ensues.

Zor grabs the container containing the extraction equipment.He activates his wrist communicator. Glost’s holographicimage appears.

TYRAS ZORNGlost, we’re leaving now!

(referring to ship) Get her ready!

Amid the confusion of the smoke and blaster exchange, thealien scientists flee. One of the aliens knocks the glasstube containing Luke. The container moves across the roominto Han’s line of vision.

HANLuke!

Han tries to make a move towards the glass tube but theenemy’s fire forces him back.

HAN (CONT’D)Chewie! I can do with some assist!

Chewbacca opens fire. His blaster sprays the laboratory withfire. He takes out three or four men.

The leader of the criminals (responsible for Luke’s capture)fires at the soldiers. He makes for the laboratory’s door butis cut down by blaster fire.

Zor’s men provide covering fire allowing Zor and Raze toescape via the rear exit. Union soldiers take out the

remaining members of Zor’s team.HAN (CONT’D)

Brax, secure the area!

Han and Chewbacca give chase.

RESEARCH FACILITY CORRIDORS

Han and Chewbacca chase Zor and Raze down the corridors ofthe facility. The two men return blaster fire. Han and Chewieduck to avoid the blasts.

HAN (CONT’D)Just like old times, eh, Chewie!

INT. SHUTTLE BAY - RESEARCH FACILITY - NIGHT

TYRAS ZOR’S SPACESHIP - COCKPIT

Glost moving the spaceship - a small starfighter - along thenarrow platform in readiness for launch.

CORRIDORS

Zor and Raze running to the shuttle bay. Han and Chewbaccafollowing. Han activates his wrist communicator:

HAN (CONT’D)Solo to pilot. Target escaping viashuttle bay! Cut ‘em off!

The spaceship dives down towards the research facility.

Zor and Raze open fire as they race to the ramp. Zor headsinto the starfighter. Raze holds position at the ramp. Hecontinues firing.

Han and Chewie use some storage containers as temporarycover.

Raze stops firing. He goes into a meditative pose. His bodyduplicates itself. Two versions of IDIGO RAZE fire their

weapons.

The sound of the starfighter about to rise makes Raze forgodispensing his weapons. He submits a devilish smile and re-

merges together as one person.

He runs up the starfighter’s ramp.

was speaking metaphorically.

The sky is getting darker. A deep pitch engine sound isrising. Jayon stands.

A large armada of spaceships is approaching. It is The Zorn.Their design is markedly different to former Imperialspaceships. The Zorn spaceships are circular in design.

The spaceships are divided into three standard types -

1) Largest size ‘attack class’ spaceships. Weapons - ion andlaser cannons for larger targets. Smaller gun turrets forcloser-range targets. Defensive shields for the commandcentre and engine section.

2) Mid-size ‘explorer ’ class spaceships. Weapons - ion andlaser cannons. Smaller gun turrets for closer range targets.Weapons not as powerful as attack class spaceships. Limitedshield capacity.

3) Small ‘starfighter ’ class spaceships. Weapons as explorerclass. Reduced firepower than the other ships but faster

maneuverability. No shield capacity.

Commander#2 activates his cockpit screen. A detailed list and

map of Boryala spaceports is displayed.

ZORN COMMANDER#2Targeting. Units deployed.

Zorn starfighters split away from the larger spaceships. Theyswoop to lower altitude and open fire on Boryala’s mainspaceports.

Spaceport#1 takes a direct hit to key targets - hangars,runways, the command tower. The entire spaceport isdestroyed.

Spaceport#2 is attacked. The spaceport’s ground-to-airdefenses are launched. Ground-to-air missiles target the Zornstarfighters. A small number of fighters are hit and explode.

Borayla soldiers appear on the runways and try to launchtheir starfighters but the attack is too sudden. The entiresquadron is destroyed.

Spaceport#3 is attacked. Zorn starfighters target the maincommunication tower and runways. Boryala starfighters areswift to respond and launch into the sky. A full air battlecommences.

INT. BORAYLA SPACEPORT#3 - COMMAND TOWER - CONTROL CENTRE -DAY

The control centre monitoring all flights in that region.Banks of viewscreens. A communicator device is attached tothe ear of the command tower’s CONTROLLER.

Air raid sirens are wailing throughout the city. Zornstarfighters swoop across the houses.

JAYONWe gotta go, now!

Jayon and Miya run up the verge and head towards the workshop. Gabe runs out to greet them. He looks up into thesky and sees the starfighters.

message read by a newsreader.

The message is on a continuous loop.

There is pandemonium in the streets. Borayla citizens fleeingto their homes. The sound of air battles above them.

Hundreds of people are fleeing from the square.

Further Zorn soldiers are taking to the streets of the city.

The Borayla soldiers retarget their aim onto the sides of thetanks. The tanks take some damage.

The tanks swerve to the side and face the Boryala soldiersfull on. The tanks fire with their ion guns. A defensive lineof Boryala soldiers is wiped out.

The Boryala soldiers retreat down the large avenues and roadsof Arvale city.

Jayon’s journey is intercepted by Borayla soldiers trying tohold back the tanks’ advance. Tank gun fire rocks the street.The side of a building is hit by misdirected tank gun fire.The building erupts in flame and debris.

The blast wave forces Jay’s speeder bike to swerve to theside of the street. The speeder bike hits a street light poleand comes to an abrupt halt.

The square is under the control of the Zorn army. SurrenderedBorayla soldiers are corralled into groups, waiting to beprocessed.

They run along the factory floor, passing by huge pipes andgirders. The drones pursue.

Gabe opens fire at the drones. His aim is wild. The dronescontinue their approach. Gabe leads the family along theplatforms.

The others run up the steps. The drones are almost upon them.Gabe opens the hatch to reveal entry into another section ofthe factory. He motions them to get inside.

Elaine and Miya step through the hatch. Gabe sees theincoming drones. He fires further shots. Gabe hands Jayon a

second, smaller blaster.

GABE (CONT’D)Here, use it!

Jayon fires. His aim isn’t better than Gabe’s.

Jayon enters through the opening. Gabe fires a few moreblaster rounds then follows inside. The hatch entrancereveals -

A thirty foot high tunnel. Dark, damp and uninviting.

GABEOld water tunnels. C’mon!

Gabe leads them along the tunnel.

A torrent of water emerges from a side tunnel. It joins thelarger tunnel. Its volume drenches the family. Elaine fallsto the ground. She is submerged.

Miya grabs at Elaine and pulls her up. The water pressure isso fast and strong they can barely stand.

GABEKeep going!

With desperate abandon, he fires at the drones. One droid ishit and destroyed. The two droids open fire. Laser fireshoots down into the tunnel. Water explosions rock thetunnel.

Jayon fires but he can barely see the drones due to theintense pressure of the water. It is now waist level. Anyhigher and the family will surely drown.

The water propels the family down the tunnel.

The two spy drones are caught in the tempest. They are pushedonto the side walls and explode.

The family slide along the tunnel. Gabe sees a hatch ahead.He struggles towards it. He grabs the hatch’s door handle.Gaining purchase, he turns the handle and opens the hatch.

GABE (CONT’D)Over here!

She clings on tightly. The water pressure is so immense. Hergrip is loosening.
