AUSSIES OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to our Aussies of the Month:- Alice Reid – 6H Alice has made a fantastic start to her final year at LPS. She has taken on extra responsibilities with great pride and enthusiasm. She is supportive and encouraging towards her peers and can make anyone smile when they need cheering up. Alice always dedicates herself to the task at hand and persists with challenges. Her ‘have a go’ attitude and her resilience are amazing qualities that her peers can learn from. It gives me great pleasure to award February’s Aussie of the Month to Alice. Eddie Colwill- 6E Eddie shows enthusiasm and a willingness to help others, which is required of students in Grade Six. Eddie is caring, positive and hardworking. He involves himself in all class discussions and is always willing to help his peers and teachers with any task. Eddie works exceptionally well independently as well as in a team environment, highlighted by the collaborative work he is doing in our ‘Water is Life’ project. Congratulations Eddie on a fantastic start to your final year of Primary School. I wish you all the best for the remainder of the year and into the future.
REGIONAL SWIMMING SPORTS

A special mention to Mia Deenan and the 10 boys relay team (Gerard Bashaw, Kyra Helms, Rem Dal Pozzo and Will Brown) for their silver medal, and Nicolette Wight, Xavier Bolge and the 11 boys relay team (Xavier Bolge, Kody Chalmers, Jake Matheson, Tom Hanily) for receiving a bronze medal. SENIOR ATHLETICS
A great day for Senior Athletics on Tuesday. The sun was out on a perfect day for Athletics. Students were continually seen to be cheering on other students in different year levels and Houses. The camaraderie between all senior students was fantastic to witness. The eventual winners of the day were Wightman who won the House Shield by only 6 points. The Age Champions were Kiti Pomare, Jesse Burns, Rylie Checkley, Zara Kreutzberger, Mia Burt, Will Brown, Ashlyn Matheson and Mason Selder. A massive 23 records were broken on the day. Thank you to all parents, teachers, aides and LSC VCE students for making the day run smoothly.
